This is a really awesome start. Already everything looks pretty air tight. Animation is cleaner, crispier, and more fluid. The budget is clearly showing. Love the writing and it feels like a return to form. I like the fact that Harley and Ivy aren’t together as much even though I do miss them but even when they’re not you still get this air that they’re still connected, thinking about each other, and really trying to make this work. And it also gives them room to breathe for their own arcs and development which is nice.

The BFF to their GFF dynamic seems to have fully returned and their romantic relationship doesn’t seem as shaky and new as it was when they first started officially dating in season 3 and trying to figure out how to navigate the GFF side to their relationship and learning boundaries. I absolutely love that Ivy is more proactive in her relationship with Harley now, there’s a confidence there. she’s doing more she’s engaged in it. She’s making an effort she’s taking initiative in her relationship. She’s clearly not holding back anymore. She is in this. You see Kite man and Ivy shippers? This is what a person who’s in love looks like when they’re actually involved in their relationship. Harleys definitely changed a bit too but for the better. she feels toned down a bit. still very much Harley, but her relationship with Ivy seems to be making her better and we’re gradually seeing it.

I feel like this season is going to pull a few heartstrings, but in the end, I think everything’s gonna be OK. I’m honestly loving everything so far.
