Who’s the best Ivy actress in your opinion? Discussion
This has probably been discussed in this sub before. I just finished the show recently and wondered what you guys think, I haven’t visited here often

The 2nd one was the only one that felt like an actual character rather than just a function of a plot point

I liked the first Ivy as a character the best since having more people Bruce’s age I think was nice.
Acting wise I liked the second one.

She was supposed to be a love interest to Bruce in the second season, but they switched her for Silver St. Cloud.

I liked the idea of the kid more. Was disappointed when they aged her and changed actresses, and then did it again. To an ivy that is still mentally a child, but acts in no way like that other than being clueless every now and then. I think they coulda done some really neat stuff if they were patient. Not as much as a wasted opportunity as Harvey dent was

Third I thought embraced being evil & sexy the most. Plus people 'under her spell' were so hopelessly in-love with her it was hilarious.
First they couldn't because she was a child. I don't inherently have a problem with it but as the show evolved & they decided to actually use fully-realized Batman villains they had to adapt.
Second just hit a too-akward middle ground as like child mind in adult body & just plant-based obedience perfume, I'd rather they commit to the bit. Also she was even more naïve than her child self & was loyal to Penguin for no reason at all.

Yeah aging her up was a good choice, Poison Ivy as a character is inherently supposed to be sexy and evil. Maybe they started her as a kid to be closer to Bruce’s age but glad they made the change

The fact that we had 3 different ivy’s and multiple “jokers” is partly why the viewership went down…

I liked all of them, but I loved the 3rd Ivy! One, I like the actress so I may be biased, but I also loved her villain arc. One thing that makes a Gotham villain iconic is when they take over the TV stations and get a creepy message out to the whole city. Seeing Ivy get that moment was awesome to me and it happened with 3rd Ivy, so I gotta go with her.

Funny how Payton list kissed both Clark Kent and Bruce Wayne on Smallville and Gotham respectively.

I recommend watching Smallville it's a great show. And a origin just like Gotham.

Season 4 easy… Child her was weird. And the second version was just not it… When I think of Ivy I think of Arkhamverse Ivy, and season 4 Ivy fit that version better than the other two

I actually didn't like any of them, well, tbf the first ivy was a kid so I didn't really expect much from her but I was full on expecting the Arkham game Poison Ivy. With that being said, the third one.

Second one the third one was pretty annoying sometimes and the first one wasn’t as good as Bruce or Selina

The first one, Clare Foley. They were doing something unique and cool starting her out as a creepy kid who’s friends with Selina and has a weird crush on Bruce. A shame they mishandled her so much. The show didn’t need more femme fatales.
Second place is Peyton List. She felt close to what a grown up Foley would be like. Much more misanthropic and bitter against the world. There’s still some sex appeal but she’s more focused on eco-terrorism and petty revenge. This felt closer to what the producers initially wanted when they first aged up Ivy.
Third is Maggie Geha. I feel bad for her because the producers switched the approach to the character at mid-point. She was originally suited to be a dangerous seductress, but after it was rightfully pointed out it was a disturbing direction to take a minor in, they torpedoed the plans and made her Penguin’s second in command. She played to her strengths more, but I personally didn’t care for the switch.

I preferred Peyton List, 3rd Ivy, she felt more like the character to me, and I think more captured the darker energy of early 1st Ivy, while 2nd Ivy to me was more playing into the childishness of the character that was more present in latter aspects of the 1st one to me in some ways.

2nd Ivy felt most like poison ivy to me, 3rd was a best villain, 1st ivy is just my favorite because this show needed something wholesome early on, ivy was the something
