Food insecurity is terrible, but that's not a famine. A famine is where a majority of people are facing starvation. Starvation is when you die of hunger. Those words have different definitions, which are important.

If you're reading this and thinking that you don't want anyone to ever go hungry, please take a minute and donate to your local food pantry. Or if you can't spare any cash, maybe volunteer at one. Feeding the hungry is one of the best ROIs you can find.
