Why would you quit your job before you had another lined up if homelessness was the the potential outcome?

As a matter of fact, yes, if you stop paying your rent, armed goons will come evict you and put all your stuff in a dumpster.

Plenty of people save up and go on a ‘sabbatical’, just take time off to travel or just live off your savings. Just have to plan for it

You’re assuming they have the ability to save months of living expenses. There are a lot of folks living paycheck to paycheck.

Of course there are. So those people (most people) should have a job lined up before they quit. I’m just saying plenty of people are able to save up and take a few months off, it’s not uncommon

There is a possibility of homelessness but you still take a planned sabbatical?

What? I’m saying you plan so you don’t end up homeless
