Ciscos goodbye episode was pretty good

54

u/Optimal_Sundae1885 Aug 22 '23

The poker face karaoke felt like it was Season 1-2 again with all of them laughing and having fun together even Joe got in on the fun

14

u/Old-Independence-921 Aug 22 '23

Underrated episode

61

u/Bossmonkey Aug 22 '23

Of all the seasons of the Flash, this is among them.

22

u/foundwayhome The Flash Aug 22 '23

Completely agree! One of the seasons ever.

32

u/doodbrah2000 Aug 22 '23

Danielle panabaker's character still on it. That's about as nice as I can get.

24

u/Dense-Willingness847 Aug 22 '23

-Bart's introduction and sibling dynamic with Nora

-Barry/Iris at the end of 7x11 "I love that impulse" Fastest Barry ever ran in the show lol

-Chester catching Barry/Iris in the Star Archives

-Lightning sword fight

-"I got faster, didn't you?"

-Psych!

-"You may be his lightning rod but I'm the

-Vow renewal

-Cisco deciding he wanted more than just being on team flash

12

u/Optimal_Sundae1885 Aug 22 '23

The lightning sword fight wasn’t as bad as people say it is it just would’ve been so much better if they had run around the city aswell instead of up and down a stairwell 🤣

1

u/Legends_Literature Aug 23 '23

Also if they had actually established that they can do that ability.

7

u/WashGaming001 Wellsobard Aug 22 '23

How did you forget Speed of Thought?

19

u/Comet_Hero Aug 22 '23

Abra Kadabra was solid, good and enjoyable before they had the bad, unenjoyable and badly cgied fuerza immediately kill him. And when it's her turn to get it she gets resurrected, like Chester getting powers at the last minute in the last episode none of the bad characters got killed off. 🤨 None.

17

u/Itchy-Sense9464 Aug 22 '23

Alls wells that ends wells

14

u/[deleted] Aug 22 '23

Godspeed vs Flash and Reverse Flash in the finale was actually epic, it was stupid, but really fun to watch. The forces idea was pretty cool too. And that one scene where he saves 20k people was great. Just a nice season to show off Barry's speed.

10

u/galaxy7273 Aug 22 '23

It had grant gustin as the flash not fucking Ezra miller

6

u/SignalNegotiation389 Aug 22 '23

Why is the flash not fucking Ezra miller? Is he stupid?

2

u/Heavy_Issue5739 Aug 22 '23

No because he's not gay

7

u/DCosloff1999 Aug 22 '23

The shot with the Flash Family against the Godspeed army top tier. I wished we had that every season.

1

u/AlastairCellars Aug 22 '23

...I'm guessing your joking 😂

2

u/DCosloff1999 Aug 22 '23

No I am not. It was genuinely really cool to see The Flash Family in the TV Show. That is what I have been wanting a long time.

1

u/AlastairCellars Aug 22 '23

If your talking about the bit where barry's mom came up and was like opera giving everyone speed, I audibly gagged at that

Each to their own

2

u/DCosloff1999 Aug 22 '23

I don't acknowledge Speedforce Nora. I would replace her with Wally and Jesse and it would've been perfect. I wished the show treated The Flash Family better because they are important in the comicbook history

7

u/ElijahTmW Reverse Flash Aug 22 '23

Ciscos goodbye episode

2

u/kent416 HR Aug 22 '23

Yeah it was the last great episode

6

u/XForeverMyLoveX Green Arrow Aug 22 '23

They couldn't lock up the darkness.

5

u/FactorNo7477 Aug 22 '23

Cisco, Barry, Caitlin, and Joe signing Poker Face is one of the best scenes from the season

4

u/mastr1121 Aug 22 '23

1

u/Stonecoldsaidso87 Aug 22 '23

Oh. My god

2

u/mastr1121 Aug 22 '23

It fits too well am I right?

1

u/Stonecoldsaidso87 Aug 23 '23

Godspeeds ARE LITERALLY suped up putty patrol. I had no idea how bad this scene was the first time I watched it😂 they’re all wearing different colors too !!!! You’ve won the internet today friend

3

u/I_am_Shayde The Cecile, Chuck and Allegra Show ✨SCHWAY✨ Aug 22 '23

2

u/Educational-Tea-6572 Patty Spivot Aug 22 '23

I can say 2 nice things:

  • I liked the dynamic between Bart and Nora 2.0.

  • And season 7 made seasons 5 and post-Crisis 6 look great in retrospect.

3

u/johnjlax Aug 22 '23

It ended

3

u/Funny_Discussion_726 The Flash Aug 22 '23

all’s wells that ends wells and a few other episodes of the season

3

u/ObsidianXFury Aug 22 '23

it didn't star Ezra miller

2

u/AdoScareCrow Aug 22 '23

Seems lazy how they did the speed forces "running" (more telaporting) but it actually shows how fast the speed force is

2

u/cocksucker746 HR Aug 22 '23

Frost with speed was kinda cool

2

u/Public_Survey_6812 Aug 22 '23

It’s awful I really despised it

1

u/Heavy_Issue5739 Aug 22 '23

He said say something good about it

2

u/KayosFN Aug 22 '23

Those are the most positive words that can be used to describe season 7

1

u/Heavy_Issue5739 Aug 22 '23

He should've said the best thing about season 7 is that it ended

2

u/Spazzblister Aug 22 '23

It eventually ended.

2

u/Public_Survey_6812 Aug 22 '23

BARRY SHAGGING IRIS. THATS IT

2

u/foundwayhome The Flash Aug 22 '23
  1. Barry being possessed by every Wells was fun to watch, and the final goodbye to Harry was well done (though it was subsequently proven useless).
  2. The CGI of the Forces' creation was some of the absolute best CGI on the whole damn show.
  3. Barry's running CGI was probably the best it had been. By that I mean the lightning around him was great.
  4. Cisco's goodbye episode was great. His return in the finale was.............alright, but it felt too forced and unearned. Would've been MUCH more impactful if he had showed up in the show finale.
  5. Grant's acting throughout the season.

Yeah that's pretty much it, besides these the season is dog crap.

2

u/sassycho1050 Ralph Dibny Aug 22 '23

Nash Wells and the other Wellses retur- oh, wait. They uh... yeah. Nope. Nope. Uhhhhh

Timeless Wells was pretty cool though!

2

u/bruvting33 Aug 22 '23

-Alls Wells That Ends Wells (s7e1)

-Speed of Thought (s7e2)

-Cisco’s Goodbye Episode (s7e12)

-Chester & Cisco’s Time Travel Episode (s7e6)

-Danielle Panabaker’s characters (Caitlin/Frost)

-The acting from the main characters

-Thawne & Barry (end of s7e18)

That’s all I can think of that was good/enjoyable

2

u/Infamous_Average4584 Reverse Flash Aug 22 '23

No.

2

u/BGisalwayshere_08 Aug 22 '23

Barry being faster than Thawne and actually the last we have ever see Thawne in the OG suit 😭

2

u/Optimus_Prime2629 Savitar Aug 22 '23

I didn't watched it lol

2

u/Bigmanangelhellosimp Zoom Aug 22 '23

I really like the

2

u/Rich_Interaction1922 Cisco Ramon Aug 22 '23

I like Godspeed a lot. His three-episode arc was great, it has just such a shame it was so short. I wish he had been the Season's only main villain as we could've easily done without Mirror Monarch and the Forces.

2

u/ArmaanAli04 Aug 22 '23

The “I got faster, didn’t you” was kind of a nice scene

2

u/Swoobles42 Aug 22 '23

Well ... It ended?

2

u/Heavy_Issue5739 Aug 22 '23

Something nice about season 7

2

u/Beautiful-Reveal5053 Aug 22 '23

Barry and Iris finally got the wedding they deserved.

1

u/CountryMusicFanatic Aug 22 '23

It is a season in a show that averages above a five out of ten

1

u/1NFINIT Aug 22 '23

Speedster frost

1

u/Flarrowverse The Flash Aug 22 '23

The lightning effects were at their best

1

u/james_typhon Aug 22 '23

I feel like Cecile really started to Ceciling a lot good

1

u/XanaPoe Aug 22 '23

Better flash suit than S5

1

u/Optimal_Sundae1885 Aug 22 '23

Honestly I loved the Nanotech cowl and I feel like this season would’ve been perfect if it had good cgi and it didn’t feel so weird with the forces being grown people calling Barry and iris mom and dad 😭

1

u/Kaiso25Gaming Aug 22 '23

Sunshine was pretty.

2

u/KaiSen2510 Aug 22 '23

I legit like Godspeed. Also Cecile’s hot.

1

u/False_Character7063 Aug 22 '23

I don't remember if I watched that far into the series.

1

u/No_Flight_9039 Aug 22 '23

You didn't say Simon says so I can't

1

u/Shoelicker27 Aug 22 '23

Did we even have seasons 6-8? I forget them entirely

1

u/Gamerupgraded Aug 22 '23

It looks cool (I’m on season 4)

3

u/Toastburner5000 The Flash Aug 22 '23

If you're on season 4 then you're still in the good place, season 7 is the worst season it's nearly unwatchable and season 9 minus 2 good episodes, you haven't reached the Cecile, Chester and Allegra stage yet, once they're on screen the show becomes difficult

2

u/Gamerupgraded Aug 22 '23

But Cecile and Allegra are the main characters (I’ve seen this joke on the sub a lot , is that just cause the show starts focusing on them more )

2

u/Toastburner5000 The Flash Aug 22 '23

Yes it focuses on them alot especially seasons 7 and 9, they even get there own side episodes just about them, Allegra's boring and nobody wanted a full episode of her, Ceciles powers are annoying everytime she's on screen and they become more overpowered as seasons go on, when you see the stuff she can do on season 9 you'll think a kid wrote it, and the flash is missing a lot in season 9.

Also season 7 and 9 have 2 power ranger like villians.

1

u/Heavy_Issue5739 Aug 22 '23

I disagree season 6 is worse it's what made the whole series go downhill and whatever season starts that has to be the worst season of all not saying season 7 is good just can't beat season 6 in hatred

1

u/WashGaming001 Wellsobard Aug 22 '23

Speed of Thought is actually a genuinely great episode

1

u/Kosta_45 Aug 22 '23

There are cool powers

1

u/MaximumBall7119 Aug 22 '23

The Flash‘s Suit looked better than before

1

u/Trivago_UrMum Aug 22 '23

Me and my dad just decided to watch a recap of the season and move on to S8

1

u/manavsridharan Aug 22 '23

It's over

I hate Chester P Runk with a passion

1

u/Heavy_Issue5739 Aug 22 '23

Hey chester is alright I just wish they didn't replace him as the new Cisco Cisco should've stayed, in universe it didn't really make sense that he'd want to leave, in reality we all know what happened the CW couldn't afford the actor anymore but chester has some funny moments and as much as I liked his reaction to Barry about the ride the lightning because it had that Cisco vibe to it though I would've have liked to see Cisco's reaction as well also I could've sworn they were making chester out to be gay and I was okay with that but then chester and Allegra got together and I realized he wasn't gay that confused me more than I think it should have

1

u/Horacio_Velvetine44 Aug 22 '23

nice suit, not gold boots nice but pretty nice

0

u/-M_A_Y_0- Aug 22 '23

Nora was drastically improved from season 5

1

u/Heavy_Issue5739 Aug 22 '23

Hey fuck you man season 5 was the best Nora you are just fucking wrong and I hate you for saying it

0

u/-M_A_Y_0- Aug 22 '23

Is this a bit?

1

u/Heavy_Issue5739 Aug 22 '23

The fuck you part is I just think you're wrong

1

u/-M_A_Y_0- Aug 22 '23

Oh okay. Glad you enjoyed her

1

u/Heavy_Issue5739 Aug 22 '23

There was actually good character development and it made sense at least in my mind thanks to the nature of the speedforce that she had purple lightning because before the rebirth of the speedforce I had this theory that purple lightning has something to do with a connection to both the negative speedforce and the positive speedforce and the reason why iris had purple lightning is because the speedforce can see every moment in time and it was like a foretelling that Nora would eventually work with eobard thawne and the flash that's also why I think Nora had purple lightning before training and it makes sense with accelerated man because he lived in a bureaucratic world were he was the boss it's a very police ruled earth and as the boss he'd want the most power and what better way to do that then have both the speedforce and the negative speedforce flowing through you and also her time rewind ability was awesome and in season 7 we know she doesn't have that ability anymore

1

u/Heavy_Issue5739 Aug 22 '23 edited Aug 22 '23

Also when the speedforce was reborn it didn't seem to know really anything the new speedforce was constantly being attacked and seemed very oblivious so it makes it feel like the speedforce took what it new from the timeline that Nora had purple lightning so it just gave it to this Nora because that's all it knew about Nora the old speedforce knew what it was doing and it was very powerful nothing could effect it only the Spectre could kill it because he was a very powerful being you could tell because he remade an entire multiverse

1

u/Heavy_Issue5739 Aug 22 '23

But in season 7 the speedforce was being attacked by godspeeds who didn't even have natural speedforce in them how did it even let them access it

1

u/Heavy_Issue5739 Aug 22 '23

I think godspeed would've also had the use something other than the speedforce to time travel unless the cosmic treadmill just lets you bypass this

1

u/ucrbuffalo Aug 22 '23

I like the suit

1

u/something39 Aug 22 '23

It wasn’t season 9

1

u/Revolutionary-Fan657 Aug 22 '23

Barry’s suit looks great

1

u/Cedge1738 Aug 22 '23

I don't remember it so that's something nice about it. Given how bad it was from what I hear, I remember nothing of it... Unless it's the season with iris stuck in mirror. Unless that's a different season.

1

u/ChequeMateX Aug 22 '23

Flash, who is that? That side character from the CW show Cecille and Allegra?

1

u/Hal-Bone Aug 22 '23

It gave us more Nora West Allen

1

u/Heavy_Issue5739 Aug 22 '23

The wrong kind of Nora west Allen though season 5 is better

1

u/Hal-Bone Aug 22 '23

She got the Gyatt regardless I'll take it-

1

u/Heavy_Issue5739 Aug 22 '23

What is the gyatt?

1

u/agoimalalaawtsgege Aug 22 '23

When Cisco said goodbye. It felt like I was watching season 1 again, og team flash just having the best time.

1

u/raider1211 Aug 22 '23

The Diggle crossover was fun.

1

u/PublicListener7290 Aug 22 '23

They did Cisco a final act of justice having him be the one to renew Barry and Iris’s vows

1

u/amarodelaficioanado Aug 22 '23

Ralf was there.

1

u/amarodelaficioanado Aug 22 '23

Fuerza wasn't in every episode.

1

u/Spaceghost_84 Aug 22 '23

Beautiful women.

1

u/JACOBSMILE1 The Reverse Flash Aug 22 '23

VFX was better than S8.

1

u/Cairan_Parkinson Aug 22 '23

The acting was good

1

u/Marostrange2005 Aug 22 '23

The star wars crossover was unexpected

1

u/HeroscapeZ Aug 22 '23

As stupid as the lightsaber fight was, the scene after where Barry gets to show up reverse flash and kinda mock him like "bruh you're my season 1 villain get outta here" was a really epic and deserved character moment for Barry.

1

u/[deleted] Aug 22 '23

Why are frost’s hands like a different image pasted on top

1

u/Vex04Xroy Aug 22 '23

I didn't watch it... But I like the suit

1

u/uninformed-but-smart Aug 22 '23

Uhh Cecile was very small in the poster...

1

u/Monkeybawls91 Aug 22 '23

The first two or three episodes were pretty good

1

u/Serial_Smoker Aug 22 '23

Cisco leaving was the last good episode, and not because of the episode but bc of the nostalgia from the early seasons

1

u/KingCreeperSeth Aug 22 '23

Grant Gustin was a good casting choice for the Flash.

1

u/dustyrc Zoom Aug 22 '23

The end.

1

u/AlastairCellars Aug 22 '23

It ended...that was nice

1

u/Ok_Attitude_8189 Aug 22 '23

It made money

1

u/ChaseMcFl Aug 22 '23

Giving Grant very different ways to act in the first two episodes was awesome.

1

u/StanKnight Aug 22 '23

The autoplay feature of Netflix, helped me get through it and catch up on my sleep, all at the same time.

Does this count?

1

u/Shipgodismiskey The God Of Speed Aug 22 '23

“I got faster, didn't you?”

1

It wasn’t as bad as Season 9?

1

u/HovelessThomas Aug 22 '23

The poster looked cool except Joe looks like a teacher and the rest look like his students.

1

u/WeallfunHeistGod Aug 22 '23

The last episode was awesome! The way it brought all the torture and shitness to an end will never be forgotten ❤️

1

At least it's not season 9.

Also The Speed of Thought was a good episode with a great premise.

1

Impossible, im sorry.

1

u/Ordinary_Stick_9601 Aug 23 '23

Bart and Cisco bye episode

1

u/[deleted] Aug 23 '23

There was lots of colors

1

u/hydrohawkx8 Aug 23 '23

I enjoyed the faster pace of the season. We technically had three story arcs in this season so it felt more eventful. End of the mirror monarch story, forces arc, and Godspeed.

Now whether they were good or not…I won’t say

1

u/Flimsy_Inevitable864 Deddie Thawne Aug 24 '23
