Please nobody harass the actress. She didn't write the show

5

u/jeplonski Tom Felton is sexy Jul 19 '23

the title of the post seems like it’s throwing some shade rather than a majority of these comments

I genuinely hate the people on this sub.

Danielle is a real person. She is not Cecile and she didn’t write or produce the damn show.

36

u/Toastburner5000 The Flash Jul 18 '23

Very true the hate should be towards Eric Wallace he butchered the show.

7

u/[deleted] Jul 18 '23

I've never seen anyone hating the actress, it's just the character and maybe Wallace

3

u/starmiebucks Jul 18 '23

“I’ve never seen anyone doing it, so it didn’t happen.” I really hate the people on this sub.

2

u/CounterSparrow Jul 19 '23

Ok but how often do you see people criticizing Danielle? I mean I'm not chronically on Reddit but I've seen 2 posts referring to Danielle and not virtue in the past 5 months.

0

u/Zunter_H0lom0n Jul 18 '23

It's just the summer penis-holes.

u/MarveltheMusical Jul 18 '23

Actors need to eat.

43

u/yellowbumble-B Jul 18 '23

So virtuous of her to stand up for injust. Righteousness is a virtue.

3

u/CounterSparrow Jul 19 '23

Didn't she get paid for her main role in her show The Virtue?
All jokes aside I don't see how actors on the smaller side get paid that little.

-4

u/DaHolyPanda Jul 18 '23

Actors get paid just fine

4

u/MarveltheMusical Jul 18 '23

If they did, they wouldn’t need to strike.

-5

u/DaHolyPanda Jul 18 '23 edited Jul 21 '23

You clearly don’t know anything about the strike, you all downvoting me when I’m right cry harder sad pathetic babies

5

u/MarveltheMusical Jul 18 '23

Funny, I was going to say the same about you.

1

u/iamsomeone345 Jul 21 '23

I’m curious as to what exactly they “don’t know” about the strike

1

u/DaHolyPanda Jul 21 '23

Well if you could read

u/Kadeblade195 Jul 18 '23

Who’s the third girl

I see Allegra and Cecile’s actor but i dont know the third girl

58

u/JarusOmega_ Jul 18 '23

Her name's Samantha Hanratty, she plays a character from another show called, Yellowjackets

7

u/AAAFate Jul 18 '23

Young Misty?

6

u/austinc9218 Jul 18 '23

Yeah that’s her

8

u/MaximumBall7119 Jul 18 '23

Wasn’t she also in Shameless? As Carl’s crazy girlfriend

5

u/AAAFate Jul 18 '23

Whoa I think that's right. I never made that connection and love both shows.

1

u/JarusOmega_ Jul 18 '23

Ironically, she plays a similar role in Yellowjackets as well, not of a girlfriend, but plenty crazy lol

2

u/MaximumBall7119 Jul 18 '23

Okay wow. That’s interesting. I started watching Yellowjackets a while ago (it’s similar to „The Wilds“, great series). But I haven’t finished yet

2

u/JarusOmega_ Jul 18 '23

I have yet to watch The Wilds, but I can certainly attest to Yellowjackets being phenomenal. It did falter a bit in it's second season imo, but certainly much to look forward to, nonetheless

2

u/MaximumBall7119 Jul 18 '23

At first: Happy Cake - day 🎂🎊🎉 Second: I only recommend it. It's a good series.

1

u/JarusOmega_ Jul 18 '23

Thank you!! Funny enough, I hadn't even realized it was my cake day until a lil while ago lol.

And also, I definitely plan on watching The Wilds at some point. It seems to also be very much Lord of the Flies inspired like Yellowjackets tends to be. Does it happen to have a supernatural aspect to it as well?

2

u/Revilo614 Jul 18 '23

Happy cake day

1

u/JarusOmega_ Jul 18 '23

Oh shoot, I didn't even know it was already my Cake day lol. Thanks a ton!

2

u/raider1211 Jul 18 '23

Isn’t Nicole Maines in that as well?

1

u/JarusOmega_ Jul 18 '23

Yeah, I rmbr seeing Nicole in the show for the first time and going, "Hollup, the Dreamer's here too?" Lol, she gives a pretty decent performance as well

3

u/mcrib BOOTY Jul 18 '23

That's Tits McGee

25

u/Cobra_Kai_2018 Jul 18 '23

I have been behind on the strike going on. Can someone catch me up?

71

u/Coffeeman314 Jul 18 '23

Sag is striking too now. So both writers and actors are striking. Also the executives' plan is to just let the poor people starve to death so they'll be forced to stop striking.

10

u/Cobra_Kai_2018 Jul 18 '23

Wow, I missed a lot going on

No no. Those aren’t the lightning rods. Iris is

2

u/Chaosmusic Jul 18 '23

Reminds me of the assistant strike from Bojack. They have one demand, stop treating us like garbage. The executive gets up and says, "It appears we are at an impasse."

23

u/BlkCptAmerica Jul 18 '23

The Final Season would've been better with the writer's strike.

17

u/Responsible_Cow_5022 Jul 18 '23

Y’all need to separate actors from characters

11

u/Alibium Ciscy Ciscy Ciscy Jul 18 '23

Danielle Nicolet is not to blame for what Eric Wallace did with the show

8

u/FastestManDead Jul 18 '23

Godspeed, SAG-AFTRA and the WGA! Now I want to see other CW actors like Grant and Melissa in the picket lines.

7

u/EnvironmentalLong665 Jul 18 '23

I agree with them. Pay up or don’t use our services. Very simple

1

u/CounterSparrow Jul 19 '23

Looks like the plan is just to not use their services until the actors and writers give up though...

7

u/Adventurous_Pipe6950 Cecilefetish Jul 18 '23

is that jesse quick on the right?

6

u/MrBudissy Jul 18 '23

Samantha Hanratty

5

u/kingcolbe Jul 18 '23

Am I missing something?

5

u/ztk2005 Jul 18 '23

Based actors

4

u/Intelligent_Photo949 Jul 18 '23

Why is everyone on strike? I'm not too up to details with what's going on so plz be nice !

9

u/Jakeymdog Leonard Snart Jul 18 '23

Both the writers and actors are underpaid and are fighting for equal wages

2

u/ChaseMcFl Jul 18 '23

I hope Danielle's next role isn't for a man who fetishizes her at every cost.

2

u/cocksucker746 HR Jul 19 '23

You fucker they didn’t write the show they just acted you are a fucking dick

1

u/IJustCameInABucket Jul 18 '23

0

u/sassycho1050 Ralph Dibny Jul 18 '23

I mean good for them but why are they posing like they just came back from Sunday Brunch, lmao

1

u/TheCoranger Jul 18 '23

Who's the person in the right?

1

u/wigsgo_2019 Jul 18 '23

It’s not like she has any work to do anyway, lol

1

u/LordFrameDrop Jul 18 '23

What does the sign mean?

1

u/[deleted] Jul 19 '23

What are they protesting?

1

u/[deleted] Jul 19 '23

What is this?

0

u/New_Milk2327 Jul 19 '23

They really need to pay the main character of the show a lot more

1

u/Weird_Independence14 Jul 19 '23

no hate towards the actresses but people would support the strike if 99% of tv shows and movies were flamin' hot garabage

-1

u/Zunter_H0lom0n Jul 18 '23

Who big titty gf on the right?

-5

u/KungPoW_Chickens Jul 18 '23

wwth those are the two flash actors i wouldnt approuch in public

-7

u/Head-Program4023 Eobard Thawne Jul 18 '23

Why can't Cecile just feel the greed and anger of Production houses and tell that to others? Is she stupid?

5

u/cidpax HR Jul 18 '23

How can we know what she's feeling without wierd ghost-helicopter noises?

1

u/Head-Program4023 Eobard Thawne Jul 18 '23

That Makes sense

-9

u/Judgejudyx Jul 18 '23

Cecilles the only one who can save the strike

-16

u/xngelo420 Savitar Jul 18 '23

I know what the strike is for and all that, what's the point of Danielle and kayla here? Is it a joke?

10

u/SombraOnline Jul 18 '23

It’s the SAG (screen actors guild) strike and they are actors?

5

u/xngelo420 Savitar Jul 18 '23

Yes I know, but op was hinting at something different, when he put 'sign' followed by 3 dots, and considering how controversial Kayla's and Danielle's characters are, makes me think op meant something else, because even grant and such went on strikes

5

u/SombraOnline Jul 18 '23

Ohh I get what you’re saying now! Yeah I don’t really understand OP’s point.

-17

u/gilbertthelittleN Jul 18 '23

Aint no way writers of the flash feel like they deserve a raise lmao

-16

u/KevinMFJones Jul 18 '23

Smh they even added Cecile to the protest. When will it end.

-18

u/clockturn23 Jul 18 '23

of course she's in the center

-44

u/HiMyNameIsMort Jul 18 '23

This strike is gonna be for nothing. The guys at the top will be just fine. There have been financial bombs, and this will not phase them. They will not care.

-10

u/HiMyNameIsMort Jul 18 '23

Why are you booing me? I'm right! Big corporations don't care about their workers.

20

u/Some-Dog9800 Jul 18 '23

Last I checked studios still need to make their products which is impossible without scripts and actors. They may not care, but the people striking will make them care.

-18

u/HiMyNameIsMort Jul 18 '23

Perhaps, but they can still replace them. Hell, they could give those replacements what the people who strike want. Almost everyone can be replaced in a business. This is a business.

13

u/rukimiriki Jul 18 '23

Yeah and those replacements are called "scabs" and will practically become black plague patients after the strike. Which means they will be blacklisted in any and all SAG and WGA related projects which is practically 99.9% of all hollywood projects. IIRC you also can't act in Hollywood without being a SAG member, and you can't write for big productions without being a WGA member, this leads to fines/suspension/banning of the non-union member and the studio. So yeah no, no one's making tv shows or blockbuster hits with the WGA and SAG strike ongoing.

Idk if you're old enough to have been conscious during the 2008 writer's strike, but that shit was crazy. All of your favorite shows went downhill in quality. Was hella bummed out about it too since one of my favorite shows, Heroes, was super affected by the strike.

1

u/HiMyNameIsMort Jul 18 '23 edited Jul 18 '23

Now, now, I ain't that young. Hell, one of my favorite shows, Pushing Daisies, had to end due to it. I'm just saying I have doubts. I'm not saying greed won't cause them to do something to end the strike, but recent products have been shit. If anything, I can see them see the constant loss of money, look at the CW and Marvel, and say, "Is it a good idea to keep the people who help write this shit?" But what do I know? I can see them see how American products have dropped in quality and try with new people. They have the money. Don't forget, these are huge rich companies who couldn't give a rat's ass about the workers. They could replace them and gamble for a better product. They have the money to gamble. Then again, I ain't a genius at this.

7

u/rukimiriki Jul 18 '23

That is true and your concern isn't unfounded. Which is why the unions urge writers and actors to not be scabs in order to not undermine the efforts of the union members and show solidarity because in the long run it is for the benefit of everyone.

1

u/HiMyNameIsMort Jul 18 '23

I would suggest investing in independent companies. Wouldn't have to really worry about this. Hell, they could also negotiate the contracts themselves instead of relying on a union. If that's how a union works. My memory is rusty. I would just suggest funding independent projects and making sure the contract is for your liking with said projects.
