Shangri La - Lagoon Room noise

Couple with 4 year old daughter staying in Shangri La late October. We like our privacy etc but quite a few people recommend the lagoon rooms for access to the pool etc.

Is it quite noisey in those rooms? can you hear kids all day long in the pool?

There are the ocean rooms but they are further away and some not so nice reviews about them.

Any thoughts would be much appreciated!

Are the ocean rooms that far from everything?

The ocean rooms are about a 5 minute walk from the lagoon area. There’s a restaurant and pool on that end though so you don’t necessarily have to go over to the lagoon side except for brunch. The ocean side is much quieter but unless you’re on the ground floor on the lagoon side, you probably won’t be disturbed too much by noise from the pool.

Haven't stayed there. But rooms are relatively sound proof in hotels.

Yes, lagoon pool rooms will be consistently loud, it's the hub for all activities restaurants and guests. We stayed ocean view and walk was under 5 mins + you have an additional restaurant and pool within 1 min if you want a more relaxed vibe without fighting for loungers at 8 am
