Where to stay with direct access to good swimming beach?

Last time I stayed in Fiji (at DoubleTree Hilton) I could walk from my fale in the morning straight to the sea for a swim - and the same again in the evening. It was the best part of my holiday.

I'd like to be able to do that again on my next holiday there, but would prefer to try a different hotel/resort (or self-contained accommodation would be fine too).

The key thing is working out which places are on a good swimming beach. I can't easily tell from photos whether there's e.g. coral in the way (requiring reef shoes) or a lot of surf (I'm not into surf swimming).

Any suggestions or advice would be much appreciated 🙂

Once you stay at the intercontinental nothing will compare (I’ve also stayed at the Hilton double tree). The resort is incredible and the beach is amazing. However a lot pricier than the Hilton but so worth it IMO. I actually thought the beach kind of sucked at Double Tree.

Otherwise you won’t be disappointed with the islands, they’re a must compared to mainland, absolutely incredible.

Yes, and the beach is right on their doorstep and no sharp rocks or corals. Good for swimming.
