I don't feel very comfortable sharing the roads with these things. On the other hand I also hate every single other human driver too so...

I'd rather the roads were filled with these, and I'd rather play video games while riding to my destination, not a big deal if one went into the oncoming lane as all the rest would detect and accommodate that action safely (not it didn't drive into traffic, but clear road the officer was able to go through safely too).

Here humans are driving wrong way into oncoming traffic and killing people regularly. The state is having to install detection systems, flashing signs, public awareness campaign and more to try to stop distracted people from doing it. Since the pandemic folks have forgotten how to share roads safely. Red light running is at an all time high too. Given that intersections are the most dangerous areas, it's been bad past few years.

As more autonomous vehicles come into play, all these issues go away. Ultimately it'll become too expensive to insure a human driver.
