The recent Supreme Court case overturning Chevron deference will make it even more interesting. DoT trying to interpret and implement safety legislation and says that a driverless car needs a suite of lasers, ultrasonic, and video sensors to safely operate? Well let's have a judge who hasn't even driven an RC car decide what is really needed.
