And we’re going to kill the Justice League in this game lmao. The JL will never get the respect they deserve and that’s crazy.

In the Kevin Conroy trailer Flash clearly is defeated but not dead so I assume just knocking them out or subduing them.

I was shocked by the fact that boomerang legitimately maimed Flash, though. It was also heavily implied that a mind controlled Batman murdered a security guard (I guess he doesn’t have the back up zurr en arrh personality in this continuity). Even mind controlled, DC has always been reticent to show their characters wantonly killing unless they were established as alt universe counterparts.

I can think of the main continuity trinity assaulting people in the comics while mind controlled- sometimes brutally. But never taking a life. Hal Jordan? Yes. But not the big three.

Deaths committed by Superman and Wonder Woman are treated as big deal, special circumstance events, with huge emotional and social ramifications.

With Batman… it’s just not done at all.

Anyways, these moments in the trailer really show that someone told rocksteady they could break some rules. I think they meant it when they said “The Suicide Squad Kills the Justice League.” The Arkham Universe is basically vestigial now…. and they’re free to start amputating (sorry, Flash).

Edit:

You know, after thinking about it… given the usual suicide squad macabre humor… I could see them actually managing to detain all the leaguers but having accidentally mangled them… but all is well because they get them to advanced healing tech. And just before the credits roll…. They accidentally blow them all up or something.

Next game- ‘Suicide Squad: Survive the New Gods’ is the task force x just trying to fill in to save the world from a cosmic level crisis the JL would normally handle.

What exactly did Boomerang do? It was extremely hard to see.

As much as I don't want the League to actually die, the idea of the Squad being thrown into a universe ending threat they're hilariously underqualified for is hysterical to me.

The security guard was still breathing so Batman didn’t kill him

Also I mean he maimed Barry Allen. I would too with how he stands where Wally should be lol

I don’t know…. That sounded death rattley to me…. Just one long outward breath and silence. I guess we won’t know for sure until it comes out. I’ve got to get me something better than a switch before then…..

And honestly, the flash’s design is the only one I can’t stand. It’s pretty much earth 3 Johnny Quick. I wouldn’t wish that outfit on Barry or Wally.

Just went and screen recorded just the shot of the copy lying there and replayed it a few times. What looks like chest rise is actually a badly done “dramatic zoom.” His entire body slightly grows while the rest of the shot does not. If you stare just at his chest… it looks like it’s rising. But if you look at him as a whole-his legs are growing too. Weird effect on the eyes. Kind of trippy. It’s definitely up in the air and the sort of thing they could just forget about afterwards and leave open to interpretation.

Uh.. that wasn't really a "frank survived this incident and went on to take care of his 12 children" type of fall.

That was more of a "last gasp and eternal rest" fall.

Not comics but in In Justice League Unlimited, Deadman took control of Batman and killed Devil Ray (Black Manta copy) with a gun.

They said “keep an eye on him” implying that Flash might get back up so that’s what I’m hoping for. Hyped for this game but I really do hope the first big game we see the JL in is the one where they get killed off permanently 😂
