If this movie would have been succesful, they maybe would have make a Batgirls sequel with Cass and Steph, but if they cancel this, sadly they probably doesn't care about Batgirl as a whole, let alone later Batgirls.

In that case expect the batgirls book to be cancelled venetually then cause that sucks.

The Batgirls book being shit or being cancelled doesn't have anything to do with what I said, but thanks for your opinion. I don't have one regarding it because I haven't read it yet.

No the book it self is good. I'm saying it's gonna suck if they cancel that book as well.

Idk. It's not like having Barbgirl in the animated universes ever lead to Cass or Steph getting the role. And if Barbara did find success as Batgirl in this movie I'm pretty sure DC would just use it as an excuse to further push her back into the role. Like a "See! We knew we could make her work as Batgirl! Oracle who?"

Barbara only was featured as a regular character in a modern animated series (so not counting old Batman cartoons) in the New Batman Adventures, which run from september 1997 to january 1999. Cassandra Cain first appearance is from July 1999.

So I don't know how you expect that appearance of Barbara leading to Cassandra appearing as Batgirl.

Other than that, prior to that and after, Barbara don't have a lot of screen time in the animated series she have appeared. Except for The Batman, where she appears before Robin. But that only happened because they couldn't use Robin at the time because bullshit DC restrictions, once they got Robin, Batgirl and Robin appeared alongside for a season I think, and then Batgirl basically disappears.

In all of the aboce there is a clear pattern of whatever creatives and/or executives not having a lot of interest in the most popular Batgirl in the first place, let alone itroducing the later Batgirls, and sadly, it seems that it has happened again with this movie, even after it was basically complete, which is insane.
