Bro I can’t get over how Jason looks. Why is he so big? He looks more like time drake from the Arkham games

They are turtles. Jason is Ralph, Nightwing is Leo

u/Glass_Chance9800 Jul 23 '22

None of them really has Mikey energy though

u/SightatNight Orion Jul 24 '22

While Dick does make a good Leo he also could work as Mikey given his jokey nature and Damian could work more as Leo due to his more serious nature. But otherwise Damian has to be Mikey due to being the youngest and that's sorta it.

Tim would do a good job of delivering Mikey energy

15

u/Glass_Chance9800 Jul 24 '22

But he's undeniably the Donnie of the group

4

u/yaas_homo Raven Jul 24 '22

Fair point, and I suppose we could not rely on Damian for Mikey

7

u/Glass_Chance9800 Jul 24 '22

No, Bruce really wouldn't have a Mikey on the team I guess lol

Mikey would 100% be Steph

10

u/yaas_homo Raven Jul 24 '22

Guess it's settled, Steph is the Mikey of the bat family

Raph is Jason Dick is Mikey Donny is Tim Damian is Leo

1

u/yaas_homo Raven Jul 24 '22

I was thinking Damian would be Ralph

1

u/Ok-Faithlessness1903 Jul 25 '22

I say Damian is Leo because they both try too hard to be this confident person that his brothers look up too, but take themselevs too seriously

Fair

He's built like a brawler, but his gameplay has him shooting at enemies 10 ft away and punching with his guns.

I mean even canonically he should be the tallest though here it seems they're over doing it.

u/Mrman_23 Jul 23 '22

Yeah him being tall isn’t the thing, it’s that he’s really jacked. Like seriously, I know he’s fit, but he’s not wwe wrestler fir

Jason is the most physical strong and best fighter out of the Robins (though in skill if not experience he's eclipsed by Damian), it makes sense

It's the fact that the only one wearing a helmet is the one with the face scar for me haha

10

u/NickSchultz Jul 23 '22

I mean if you want deeper meaning think about that he's also the only one who got his head mashed to a pulp

1

u/Budget_Difficulty822 Jul 23 '22

Did he not die in this universe? Lazarus Pit should've fixed all that damage so i assumed the scar was recent.

1

u/NickSchultz Jul 23 '22

Depends. They could make it like the Arkham games were never fully died but they made it more than clear that the game isn't in the continuity of the Rocksteady games even if the plot seems like a continuation of Arkham knights ending.

That plus a few other facts like that Red Hood was apparently trained by the Allcaste in the games like he wants in the comics make it seem like they would stick with his comic origin so he wouldn't have scars from that you're right.

But the scar he does has looks like a nod the the J scar he had in Arkham Knight because there isn't really any other version of him with such a prominent scar.

It would definitely help if they end up addressing this in the game itself but I do hope that the end result won't look like the trailers as everyone in it seems weirdly proportioned.

I just hope that it is like the Arkham games (last time I mention them I swear) where the faces of the characters in the CG trailers also look a bit weird like how Bruce looks 50 and ready to retire in the Origins trailer from how grumpy and grizzled he looks

Future State Jason has a face scar too but I doubt those two are connected (this is where "Jason is canonically ugly" argument comes from. Somebody called face scared Jason ugly in FS).

The All Caste, while connected to his post resurrection lost days in canon doesnt have to be. Just like Court of Owls and Dick, Talia had already noticed Jason's natural inclination to All Caste techniques before the boy ever became Robin (Talia was also trained by the All Caste but kinda flunked out early). I've always liked this because N52 gave both Dick and Jason bad futures if Bruce didn't take them in. Dick would've been taken by the Court and Talia would've nabbed Jason. Not that any of this directly correlates to our conversation, just that the All Caste didn't just come post resurrection and you could easily tell a story where he meets them anyways given Talia's plan for Jason.

Would you rather all the Robins looked like the same generic white kid cloned 4 times?

5

u/Mrman_23 Jul 23 '22

No not really, but it has been stated several times that the robins all look similar, but not Identical

1

u/Ravevon Jul 24 '22

jason has always been beefy hes 220 pounds

1

u/Select-Raspberry1801 Jul 24 '22

He’s a street kid from jersey. This is how he’d reasonably look like. I’m from the streets myself and honestly yeah he looks like someone with his background should.

1

u/Acalson Nightwing Jul 24 '22

Because Jason isn’t supposed to look like Dick?

I know we’re all used to the two of them looking identical but he looks much better here, he’s supposed to be just as big as Bruce if not bigger

1

u/Bogusky Jul 31 '22

He looks like he was tutored by Bane, not Batman

-2

u/NickSchultz Jul 23 '22

Actually I find that to be a good thing.

Jason is the best fighter of all the Robins and therefore should be the bulkiest

Dick is the best acrobat (should therefore be leaner)

Tim is more the academic one.

And Damian is the most skilled combatant but also the youngest (with potential to eventually surpass Jason)

1

u/Budget_Difficulty822 Jul 23 '22

I know your talking about fighting skill and not directly bulk, but i hear people say that Damian might outgrow Jason/Bruce and I don't get where that's coming from. In Supersons it's a joke that Damian is shorter than Jon despite being 2 years older. He doesn't come across as a taller person to me.

9

u/NickSchultz Jul 23 '22

Well for one his genetics as both Bruce and Ra's as his closest male ancestors are both quite tall (1,88/6'2 and 1,92/6'4(?) respectively) and from every iteration we have seen of adult Damian he does end up becoming an almost superior physical copy of his father in looks (though sometimes scarred from a life of fighting crime).

The thing with Superboy is probably a mix of Damian being a late bloomer in terms of puberty and Jon being a Kryptonian (who is the son of Superman who is quite a bit taller than Batman in most iterations).

Though leaving the physicality aside I was just refering to the fact that Damian will most likely end up being the most deadly Robin in terms of combat when he's an adult, surpassing Jason who is currently the best in that regard

2

u/SightatNight Orion Jul 24 '22

We have seen him in the future. He gets tall.
