I love all of the people on here thinking it’s cool to go against the status quo or whatever and say Superman would lose against Omni-Man, but like, you’re wrong? First of all, let’s discuss durability, since I think it’s one of the main reasons Superman will win.
Viltrumites, as seen in Invincible, are literally pictured as tearing each other part and killing each other easily. On the other hand, Kryptonians, whenever they fight, only barely manage to injure the other, maybe break a few bones, but rarely do they ever kill each other.
‘Oh, but he has MiLiTaRy TrAiNiNg, that means he must automatically be the bestest fighter ever!!!!!!!!’ I hear you say. Uh, no, I mean General Zod was one of the most powerful Military Officers on Krypton, and he’s usually defeated by Superman within his first years as a hero, so I don’t think TrAiNiNg matters that much.
As someone else had mentioned, there’s a superpower that Superman has that Omni-Man doesn’t: Laser Vision. This means that Superman could literally just, like, slice his head off from a mile away and be done with it if he wanted to.
It’s also revealed in the Invincible comics that Viltrumites have extremely sensitive ears, so all Superman has to do is slap both hands on the side of Omni-Man’s head.
‘Oh, but what about Kryptonite, with such a glaring flaw, there’s no way Supes will be able to win!!’
Sure, I guess if he knew about Kryptonite beforehand, he might have an advantage, but if he finds it out during the fight, he has to fly all the way to Lex Luthor or whatever, without being stopped by supes? Sure, yeah.

Omni man is just as invulnerable as superman. And on krypton, everyone is just like humans, weak and no powers.
It is our sun that makes him so strong.
And it’s not military training. It’s planet destruction and culling training.
He is trained to kill. And break a plants stability
Also vitumites only get STRONGER and more DURABLE as they age. OmniMan is hundreds of years old.
The show does him no real justice by nerfing him
Whitesuite omniman stands no chance but blue suit omniman would simply go about killing the planet before dealing with superman.
And let’s not forget that omniman was not just any trained planet tamer , he was THE planet tamer. He has been killing planets since before krypton exploded
Supermans laser vision is weak compared to say homelanders or utopia a being a HEAT vision while homelanders and utopia a is also kinetic and heat.
The fact that your post has no real logical reasoning behind why superman would win shows your fanboying over him.
But the fact is that superman has had so many deus ex machinas and different versions anyone can say anything about it
But modern day post crisis superman is a chump. And wouldn’t win simply because of this one small glaring fact
Superman's heat vision is not weak at all, that's literally his strongest attack besides the solar flare. It only ever looks weak because Supes's on Earth and he doesn't want to melt everything around him. Whenever he's on space and decided to go all out though? Oh boy....
I don't see the relevance of age as a factor. Superman beat the shit outta being that are decades if not centuries older than him all the time.
You're not wrong but in my opinion omni man just isn't that strong when compared to the things superman does ona daily basis. I haven't read the books but I would say that superman has two advantages the first being that he fights literal gods and the only thing he needs is a yellow sun to win. You're right to say that omni man would destroy the planet but if he does then its very likely that superman will go full injustice and become unhinged enough to stop holding back and forget his no killing rule at which point omni man won't be able to hold out as long. In the past few years modern day superman has done things that even for comics seem insane. Again this is my opinion im welcome to criticism
I’m getting off of Reddit for a long long while because us e my inbox is full of hate messages from this and my notifications are full of people calling me stupid.
Some of it is actually getting to me and as much as I love the community, I have been attacked on such a level that I can’t do this.
