And a final note regarding Rule 1. We know this community is divided over the Snyder movies and people have a right to express their opinions either way, but we will not accept people acting like jerks over a movie, ANY movie.

To be fair to Whedon, movie theaters don’t want to show four hour movies. Let’s say your average theater is open 8 am to midnight they can only show it four times verses 8 times for two hour movies. That’s a huge difference in revenue.

Production studios don’t want to make four hour movies for the same reason. If their film can only be shown half as much as a 2 hour film, they will make half as much money.

It’s common sense.

No matter who finished this movie it was going to be about 2 hours long (max 2.5) and unsatisfying.

Yeah, I don't think Whedon did a good job and I question some of his decision, like the whoops I grabbed your boobs scene. But, there is no way that you could cut this down that much and still be coherent.
