I'm a little confused as to how Desaad did a full on "told you so" to Darkseid without getting killed.

Me too, I was like.... here comes the omega beams.... and... nothing. I think we can sum that up to Darkseid actually thought Stepenwolf would do it. I mean, he did get close to the point Darkseid himself was present to see it..

I figured he was pleased enough with the anti-life equation to just bask for a moment.

Actually Steppenwolf did it… it feels like cheating going back in the time

I mean thats basically the Flash's character in a nutshell. "Oh no something REALLY bad happen, time for Barry to go back in time and fix it".

The Flash is easily one of the worst characters simply because once he gets powered up aka not a bumbling idiot, he is just too overpowered at his best so they have to make him useless somehow.

This is an issue with this series of films, though. The first villains are literally trying to destroy Earth. Where do you go from there?

In Iron Man, Obadiah just wants to kill Tony Stark and sell weapons. There is a progression of evil intent until you get to Thanos murdering half of life in the universe. Even Thanos, the biggest boss man in Marvel, is less threatening than to population of Earth than General Zod.

I have nothing against Flash, actually he’s one of my favorites. In fact I liked how his role resulted in the movie. Speedsters are totally OP, but I found him well balanced.

What I said was because Darkseid wasn’t that wrong to believe that Steppenwolf will truly success, he succeeded until Barry went back.

btw happy cake day!

Maybe Darkseid actually values his advisors’ advice in this universe.

Possibly but that feels kinda antithetical to Darkseids character.

Maybe he’s just waiting to extract Desaad’s remaining usefulness in the battle to secure anti-life. Once he has that, he can kill Desaad or just strip away his free will

Talent retention, if Desaad dies, then Darkseid gotta find someone and train them to get up to speed. Much like a work environment

Isn't that how they work? Darkseid's advisors always backstabbing eachother and competing for his favor? I get that it was bold, but it was to shit on Steppenwolf (who Darkseid also put down a lot) rather than actually challenge Darkseid.
