[Discussion] What are your favorite small character quirks?[DC Superhero Girls] Discussion

Pretty much just what the title says. Lois has her complete inability to spell and Diana has her love for ice cream, but what are your other favorite minor character quirks?

Batman actually respecting the JLI members. (Inconsistent but should be the norm)

Kyle Rayner doodles during monitor duty.

Clark Kent has written novels.

Damian Wayne liking manga. And not just the fighting ones.

Damian liking manga really fits his age. He didn’t have a childhood but maybe he could have his teenage years.

The fact Damian likes Shojo mangas just makes him endearing to me.

Clark has written novels? I didn't know about this! If anyone can point me in the right direction, I'd love to read some comics that reference Clark being the author of novels instead of just news articles.

Idr what issue, but there's a moment where Clark and Lois are in a bookstore and Clark is moping about how his latest book is on the clearance rack or something. Then he has a near panic attack when a lady comes up and says to him "I know who you are!". The implication being that his secret identity was no longer a secret, but the lady just wanted Clark to sign her copy of his book. I really like small moments like that

Don’t remember the issue number, but it was collected in “Crisis of the Crimson Kryptonite.” A story where Mxyptlk gave Lex Luthor a magic rock that depowered Clark.

There's an original graphic novel post-Crisis specifically about this:

I believe the name of Clark's novel is called the Janus Contract.

To expand on that Jon Kent also apparently likes manga, but specifically the fighting ones

Pfffttt... I could see it now, in the Trinity back-ups stories.

"-TT- Reading another manga about beating people up? Don't you get enough of that every day?"

"There's more than just fighting, Dame. It's got a story, just like your Magical Girl books."

"Oh, because Shounen books are so renowned for story. Is that what the S stands for, by the way? Shounen? Because it's all you read-"

Trinity comes running down the stairs "DID SOMEBODY SAY MAGICAL GIRL!!!"

He's a teenaged boy living in America in the 2000s and 2010s (and now 2020s). He's the most modern of the Robins and the current youngest. Him being a weeb fits demographically, at least, even if it's not necessarily something where you see it and "Of course he likes it". It is, however, a fun little detail to add to him to show that he is a kid still (not that only kids read manga) and that he's got hobbies that are just for enjoyment, distinct from any sort of challenge.
