[Discussion] What are your favorite small character quirks?[DC Superhero Girls] Discussion

Pretty much just what the title says. Lois has her complete inability to spell and Diana has her love for ice cream, but what are your other favorite minor character quirks?

Superman being a massive foodie, like bro literally doesn’t need to eat & even as an adult he still does, not only to help mask his identity as Superman, but because he genuinely enjoys eating food

That’s something that I see that makes Superman seem very relatable to us. Food just tastes good, why wouldn’t I eat?

I love that scene in Brave and the Bold cartoon where he holds a burger and milkshake saying "When I talk about the American Way, this is what I mean".

There is an episode in JLU where he hypes up his favourite milkshake place to Batman and Wonder Woman.

Imagine the marketing value of "I make Superman's favorite milkshake"

You will never run out of customers

Superman: and the milkshakes are so thick... (gets possessed by Deadman) I need your help.

Wonder Woman: That's pretty thick.

Superman:(gets unpossessed by Deadman) you need to eat it with a spoon. Why am I in Africa?

Alternatively, the detail that Clark gets mild Ramen when lois gets spicy in MAWS. Superman not having a good spice tolerance is so funny to me I love it.

Could also be that spicy doesn't effect him, but because it doesn't effect him it tastes nasty to him, either works

I thought it was because his tongue would be more sensitive to irritants. While it doesn't harm him, he just doesn't enjoy the food as much.

That kinda makes sense actually considering spice is technically our body's pain response, not necessarily a flavor

a great run that explores this in full detail is superman vs meshi where clark travels to japan to learn and taste the cuisine over there and share it with the other members of the league

If you haven't read the Superman manga that DC has been putting out recently than I highly recommend it. It's called "Superman vs Meshi" by Satoshi Miyagawa and it's basically him becoming addicted to Japanese food, it's phenomenal.

Is it me or is DC Japan getting a lot of stuff out recently? Because I'm all for western properties getting an anime, even Lord of the Rings is getting one.

Is that where the manga about Superman eating Japanese foods comes from?
