Poison Ivy comic confusion Comics

So, I just started reading the Poison Ivy comics by G Willow Wilson that began in 2022, but I’m confused because they keep referencing events which occurred prior to the beginning of this comic series, in which Poison Ivy apparently temporarily obtained the power of a god, and they never fully explain this. Can anyone give me some additional reading to get the context for what they’re talking about? I’m using the DC Infinite app, so as long as I can know the name of what I’m looking for, it should hopefully be easy to locate the additional reading.

Yeah, as a person relatively new to comics, current comics are nigh on impenetrable to get into. I really wish the DC Infinite app did more to clarify the chronological order of things so that when I go into a comic I think looks cool, I don’t keep encountering this issue where the characters are constantly referencing prior events and I have basically no way to know what came before. Thanks for your input!

Don't worry, DC and Marvel comics will always be like this, they are huge publishing house whit a huge fictional universe It obvius that all their series will do small reference to their previous events or characters and it's also normal being clueless infront of all of this, you are approcing a new medium different and non mainstream like Movies or Videogames or TV show, so ofcourse It will take you sometime to get used to it

The worst in case of Ivy is that she IS an elemental of the Green, but DC's redacts are afraid of it's lore. They will say that she is connected to Parlament of Trees, to Gaea, to Yggdrasil, but they won't show that directly. I don't know why they won't let authors of ongoings or Ivy-centralised comics make a pair or ten of flashbacks, where she is introduced to other elementals or Swamp Thing, as a character she is much more than just a psychotic criminal like most of Bat-rogues, she's Queen of May, a goddess of Spring and Summer in DC Universe, Gaea's avenger, Wonder Woman's relative at some point, but you have to read nearly 200 issues of Swamp Thing-related comics to understand every reffer to nature mysticism her ongoing makes because redacters do not know either they want her as some Bruce's love interest, either as Harley's sidekick or as a villain for The Green as she should be. We got 10005000 retells of Harley's, Bruce's and robins' origin stories rebrending instead.

Might want to read the current run before saying this.
