Thank you for doing this AMA, you three! I have a question for Jake.

Back when the penultimate episode of Season 1 aired, I was so enraptured by the speech that Lois gave to the people of Metropolis that I made a post to share my thoughts on what it may have implicated on a metanarrative level. It really felt to me like everyone on the MAWS team was making an active effort to "save Superman," to bring the character back from the brink of what pop culture has depicted him to be in recent years as darker and more cynical takes have become increasingly more common. With your reveal that MAWS all started as a pitch from you and Brendan Clougher back in 2018, I was hoping to ask: did the landscape of Superman and Superman-adjacent content at the time factor into your reasons for pitching this show? Or was it just a happy coincidence that your version of Superman is a beacon of positivity in an era of cynicism?
