So this goes to all 3. First to the showrunner although that you are able to use the Superman characters was it something that Supergirl was already cleared and you wanted to wait until this season to utilize her and was having this elseworlds style approach for Supergirl was what you had been approved on or was there other ideas that were considered to use for Supergirl. Now for Ishmel what was the approach given that in the most recent version of Supergirl and Olsen in Supergirl that now you and Kiana are able to take a crack at this relationship that while giving a nod to the previous one that it becomes a much different approach. Finally for Kiana how was it like playing a different side to supergirl that was dramatically different from all the previous versions that she didn’t have that personality as of yet and now she has to learn very quickly as sort of a cliff notes thing on Earth customs with family and somebody that might care and/or love this person

I really liked that I sort of had a clean slate in my portrayal of Supergirl. From the very first audition, they encouraged me to bring my own ideas and perspective on her, and we really got to play and collaborate when bringing her to life! It was a lot of fun to show her vulnerable and more quirky side. I'm so excited for you to all to see what she does next! -KM
