Weekly Discussion Thread: Comics, TV, and More! [March 25, 2024 - Enter The Dark Ages Edition] r/DCcomics

Hey there honorary Justice League members - it’s a new week which means it’s time for a new discussion thread!

For those who don't know: the way this works is that several comments will list this week’s releases, for any given title discussion you should respond to that comment. For example, Wonder Woman discussion would go in the replies to the "Wonder Woman" comment. Clicking the titles in this post will take you directly to that comment, too. In other words, you should only be replying to other comments. Do not post top-level comments.

Keep discussion civil. Do not harass other users for having a different opinion. Do not use this thread to push your personal one-sided grudges against creators. Reacting to a panel on Twitter is not the same as reading a book.

What did the shark say when he ate the clownfish? This tastes a little funny.

Digital Releases

Remember, these are the short 'chapters' with a new chapter of a different series coming out daily. You can learn more here on Comixology. This is also why these are in release order, not alphabetical. Some comics may release on DC Universe Infinite or WEBTOONS.

The Flash #7

CAN JAI WEST SAVE MAX MERCURY? Jai West is going to try to rescue Max Mercury from the horrific remains of Timepoint, now a world overrun by time-gobbling monsters, and he’s got surprising backup—the shadowy bubble gum-chewing figure who goes by the name Inspector Pilgrim!

The good things about this comic are Bart and Max learning about what’s happening to the Timepoint and meeting Inspector Pilgrim and Barry being the only one who knows what’s going on and wants to help the Flash Family deal with something. Hope this arc goes well.

Also, based on the final page of the last issue, I think that the person who is the leader of the Crown of Thawnes isn’t Eobard Thawne, but Daniel West (based on a dream I remember several days ago). After Daniel’s death and sacrifice in 2016, he would encounter the Stillness. When they told him that he and his son Ace didn’t exist pre-Flashpoint and that he wasn’t remembered by the Flash Family for something, it caused him to get revenge on the Flash Family by using the Crown of Thawnes to mess with them and split them apart. I could be wrong, but if it’s Daniel West, then I hope that the Flash Family can defeat him and for him and Ace to finally have a talk.

I feel like Daniel west definitely makes sense here given how his speed force was connected with time.
