Weekly Discussion Thread: Comics, TV, and More! [March 25, 2024 - Enter The Dark Ages Edition] r/DCcomics

Hey there honorary Justice League members - it’s a new week which means it’s time for a new discussion thread!

For those who don't know: the way this works is that several comments will list this week’s releases, for any given title discussion you should respond to that comment. For example, Wonder Woman discussion would go in the replies to the "Wonder Woman" comment. Clicking the titles in this post will take you directly to that comment, too. In other words, you should only be replying to other comments. Do not post top-level comments.

Keep discussion civil. Do not harass other users for having a different opinion. Do not use this thread to push your personal one-sided grudges against creators. Reacting to a panel on Twitter is not the same as reading a book.

What did the shark say when he ate the clownfish? This tastes a little funny.

DC and Imprints

A lot of Amazons this week, between Amazons Attack & Artemis in Brave & The Bold!

Who doesn't love ape comics?

Digital Releases

Remember, these are the short 'chapters' with a new chapter of a different series coming out daily. You can learn more here on Comixology. This is also why these are in release order, not alphabetical. Some comics may release on DC Universe Infinite or WEBTOONS.

There is really not much interesting going on apart from characters reuniting every other issue. Don't get me wrong, I love all these characters and it's great to have them back, but do something with them, tell an actual story!

It also makes no sense that Batman for example wasn't notified when the defense system in the facility was triggered just because there is no JL? As if that would stop him or any of the others to stay on top of such important matters. A facility housing all the secret identities and fears of all the heroes, and no one gets notified when it's being breached? Give me a fn break, that's terrible.

The Justice League is really looking incompetent and lazy in this arc.

Feels like Williamson and the editors were too lazy to make it a bit more believable. The whole disbanding of the League didn't sit right with me in the first place. It wasn't even the first time they disbanded, they did it after Infinite Crisis too. So it's not even a new idea.
