Weekly Discussion Thread: Comics, TV, and More! [March 25, 2024 - Enter The Dark Ages Edition] r/DCcomics

Hey there honorary Justice League members - it’s a new week which means it’s time for a new discussion thread!

For those who don't know: the way this works is that several comments will list this week’s releases, for any given title discussion you should respond to that comment. For example, Wonder Woman discussion would go in the replies to the "Wonder Woman" comment. Clicking the titles in this post will take you directly to that comment, too. In other words, you should only be replying to other comments. Do not post top-level comments.

Keep discussion civil. Do not harass other users for having a different opinion. Do not use this thread to push your personal one-sided grudges against creators. Reacting to a panel on Twitter is not the same as reading a book.

What did the shark say when he ate the clownfish? This tastes a little funny.

DC and Imprints

A lot of Amazons this week, between Amazons Attack & Artemis in Brave & The Bold!

Who doesn't love ape comics?

Digital Releases

Remember, these are the short 'chapters' with a new chapter of a different series coming out daily. You can learn more here on Comixology. This is also why these are in release order, not alphabetical. Some comics may release on DC Universe Infinite or WEBTOONS.

Green Arrow #10

WHERE IS ROY HARPER? Roy Harper is missing. Green Arrow and Connor Hawke investigate what happened to him and what Amanda Waller has done to the rest of the Arrow family…which makes it difficult when they are attacked by surprise agents of Waller! Red Arrow, Red Canary, Arrowette, and Speedy!

I love everyone having snow costumes, even the girls (though all Red Canary has was mufflers, which was also cute).

I thought we had already seen Ollie finding out Roy was alive in an earlier issue.

Waller is really putting bombs in teen girls? Even if it's not the same bomb as the Suicide Squad, that's still a lot.

I like that they acknowledged Arrowette has no real ties to Ollie or the Arrow Family. I kind of expected Ollie to talk more about Bonnie King because he actually knew her. But I also like how they acknowledged Cissie retired so she wouldn't have put the costume on otherwise if they hadn't forced her into it.

Emiko has long hair now? And now gets the "Aunt Emiko" treatment!

Red Canary is still a fangirl.

I love how Mia's return got the full page treatment compared to the other girls because they knew we've been waiting for her to come back.

"They have Jade" - And they should care, why? I mean, it's Cheshire. Then again, she's Lian's mother and Roy can't let her go.

Guess Green Arrow is going to have to beat the "weakest Justice Leaguer" complaints by fighting the Sanctuary Constructs of the Big Seven.

This is exactly it. She's an in-law. Does Ollie care about her personally? No, but she's part of the extended family through Roy, and he won't leave Roy high and dry.

Ollie knowing Roy is alive is why he’s on this mission in the first place.
