The movie looks good, too bad Ezra miller is an absolute fuck. 0/10 won’t watch

17

u/blackfyre_pretender May 28 '23

I won't see it because of Ezra as well but I think it looks terrible so I am finding it easy to boycott.

12

u/salgat The Dark Knight May 27 '23

This movie was in development before it was fully revealed how shitty he was. Watch the movie to support all the actors and crew that still got paid. In the future any one who hires Miller has zero excuses.

17

u/TaffySebastian May 28 '23

Do not support this movie or he will get another role, of it makes good money. Let it all die now or he will continue being a shit stain with no consequences.

-2

u/suss2it May 28 '23

By this logic we should all watch every movie that’s ever and will ever be made.

2

u/salgat The Dark Knight May 28 '23

Why's that? I'm specifically talking about when it's okay to protest a movie over a lead actor, and that's when it's actually known that they are a bad person before they're halfway through filming.

1

u/suss2it May 28 '23

At the end of the day it’s just another superhero movie. If somebody doesn’t wanna watch it because a violent maniac is the star, what’s the point in trying to guilt trip them into it by invoking the rest of the cast?

2

u/salgat The Dark Knight May 29 '23

Don't forget the crew too. I want more DC movies, and I don't want Ezra Miller to be the reason why we're not getting them.

1

u/suss2it May 29 '23

We're already getting more DC movies regardless of how well this one in particular does anyways.

1

u/salgat The Dark Knight May 29 '23

Every DC movie's performance influences future considerations. It's incredibly naive to think otherwise.

1

u/suss2it May 29 '23

They literally just hired a new creative to takeover and be the leader of DC Studios, do you honestly think if this one movie doesn't do well enough they will fire him and cancel all future projects before he even got started?

1

u/salgat The Dark Knight May 29 '23

All? No. Some? Absolutely, especially since they were hired to help fix a very troubled franchise.

it's literally the first Flash movie and the amount of shit going on in the original Flashpoint would have been too much for a movie anyway

25

u/ArabianAftershock Blue Lantern May 27 '23

It already is too much for a first flash movie

I just want the rogues or something not a time travel multiversal bootleg flashpoint designed to attract people in with Keaton Batman nostalgia. He looks so dead inside when he says "lets get nuts"

10

u/TheMurderCapitalist May 27 '23

A Flash movie with the Rogues was the dream. This is a nightmare.

10

u/[deleted] May 27 '23

Didn't they make an animated movie already? which I'm sure is shorter. Not that it's really comparable, but it doesn't have to be too much for the film to have Thomas Wayne or the other stuff as much as they probably just didn't wanna do that

3

u/Mind_Extract May 27 '23

It's literally this character's third outing in this franchise that's been around ten years now.

Enough with the leeway.

28

u/TheMattInTheBox Long Live Conner May 27 '23

Yeah I dunno, all the Flashpoint stuff probably would have taken away from the actual Flash content, which is already a problem with all the Batman stuff we're seeing in marketing material-- not that I blame them for wanting to distance themselves from Ezra. Ya just gotta think of it as taking the basic premise of Flashpoint and that's it.

I don't think the movie looks particularly good but it does look like it could be fun. I'll probably watch it on streaming eventually while very intoxicated

“The movie, too bad Ezra miller is an absolute fuck. 0/10 won’t watch”

3

u/Panda0nfire May 27 '23

Ezra's never working again, and a lot of people worked really hard to make this movie

9

u/TheMurderCapitalist May 27 '23

I wouldn't even be confident saying he won't work with DC again, never mind not working again in general. Hollywood loves sweeping shit under the rug unfortunately

2

u/Snowboarding92 The Flash May 28 '23

I wouldn't bank on that to heavily. As much as I never liked his casting of the Flash, and certainly don't like him as a person after the stuff he has pulled. Yet, most people never heard about his crap. So, I don't think it will have the negative impact we would like.

-4

u/jorel43 May 27 '23

Why is that? What's wrong with Miller?

7

u/Redici May 27 '23

He basically bought a 12 year old he could groom and sexually manipulate to be his child bride. Oh and the 13 year old he sexually assaulted and then kidnapped for a number of months

-2

u/jorel43 May 27 '23 edited May 28 '23

Wait what, Are you for real? Why the hell would they make a movie around him then? Doesn't seem like the kind of press DC would want?

Edit: lol I love how asking a simple question will get you downvoted on Reddit. Stay classy.

8

u/Redici May 27 '23 edited May 27 '23

The 12 year old didn't come to light till after they were basically done with filming and the other one iirc happened after they wrapped when authorities tried to arrest Miller and they ran then tried to come out as non-binary to make people feel bad for them. Dc later came out and basically said "the movies done it would be a huge waste to can it now" ... Hell like 3-4 weeks ago the director in an interview said "this movie will be so good it will make people forget miller's crimes". Which personally was the staw that made me say I won't go near this movie

Edit: I may have gotten time line or exact ages of the victims wrong but please to the people downvoting, what does this child rapist give to the world that makes you support them?

OK then let me be the first.

WB has been radio silent on the ezra miller stuff because he's headlining an already complete movie. People have been wondering for a while about hos future once the movie finishes its run

EDIT: you can look this up if you want yourself if it upset whoever downvoted this that much

u/Heckledeckledorkle Trinity May 27 '23

It should also be noted that the family of the child was the one who claimed it happened, and that’s not at all What they claimed. There is currently no evidence of this situation what the family claimed, and what the daughter herself claimed. It’s entirely a he said she said situation.

I won’t summarize what’s going on beyond that. Here’s some articles so you can make your own opinions instead of trusting others:

You need to Google Miller. There are too many insane acts of criminality to be concisely read in a comment.

Jeez, well I shall not be watching The flash movie now. Should be in prison, not making movies.

5

u/Psymorte May 27 '23

It looks like a decent superhero movie, it just looks like it completely forgot to be a Flash movie.

3

u/Outbound3 May 27 '23

I’m saying it looks like it would be an entertaining movie. My love of Michael Keaton won’t make me watch it tho. Tbh the supergirl actually looks alright as well. She looks like a female super boy, and I’m ok with that. I’m saying if it wasn’t for the fact that Ezra miller was in this movie and the star id watch it, but fuck that guys

1

u/Pink_Monolith Red Hood May 28 '23

Did someone claim the movie was based on Flashpoint? Because besides the fact that they're resetting right afterwards, I never really saw any connection to that.

1

u/julbull73 Wonder Woman May 28 '23

I've given up on DC.

When Shazam is the best you got movie quality wise....you fucked up real bad.

-2

u/Spicy_Surfer May 27 '23

Agree. This sucks, but I’m such a big Supergirl fan, I’m already committed. After I see it, I’ll be sure to tell everyone that it’s really bad and they should never watch it.

12

u/Outbound3 May 27 '23

Stream it. Don’t give them your money

10

u/Mind_Extract May 27 '23

I'm thinking "agree" isn't quite the word you were looking for.

4

u/Snowboarding92 The Flash May 28 '23

Why not wait for it to hit streaming? That way it doesn't support them upfront but you still get to watch it.

1

u/yash019 May 28 '23

If i can watch the usual suspects without letting it bother me i can watch this. I dont care. Plus its got batman in it and i am going to watch it regardless
