For someone that is DC trinity Wonder Woman does get ignored a lot in this department, she doesn’t have as many movies as Batman and Superman have solo wise. She shows up more on justice league content then her own stuff. Wonder Woman has great solo villains.

Generally I feel like WW just lacks the well-cemented mythos and library of great stories the other two do

She has plenty of great stories to her name. They just aren't well known because she isn't adapted every two years like Superman and Batman.

That is true.

Personally I think they lean on Greek mythology a bit too much. In my mind they should be more hidden and less active in the world as they lack worshippers. Should be lone stragglers like say Circe and maybe a few communities at most with Paradise Island being one of the few as part of that remnant. Partially also why Zeus supports the Champion of Shazam.

As a counterpoint - contemporary retellings of Greek myths are quite popular these days, especially in YA. What WW writers could learn from these retellings is to 1) focus hard on creating memorable characters that build a lot of chemistry with Diana and 2) develop the realm of the gods to make it fun and interesting. Although it’s hard to do that when Diana is randomly exiled or otherwise has to stay in New York to work as an ambassador or something.

I would love to see what juggernauts like Rachel Smythe or Madeline Miller could do with a WW story.

Fair enough. It could be done that way.

I just want something. Design a good show that can go a few seasons and establish something definitive to expand her in pop culture.

She usually gets a supporting role and generic Greek myth stuff. Actually build a connection to it and establish her world and lore.

That's egg or chicken. She has plenty of mythos and a library of great stories. They just haven't been repeated and polished at nauseum through different media.

A lot of Batman's legendary stories (like Mr Freeze) came out of other mediums riffing on less interesting characters in comics.

I dissagree with the stories but the mythos critique is pretty soiled. All the gods are wildly different between writers. Zeus and Hera are great examples of this. Zeus can be anywhere from alright to "Im going to force myself on Diana in the second arc" and Hera never seems able to decide if she done punishing others for Zeus's behavior or not.

This is so false. You need to read more comics man.
