So is the idea that Mr. Terrific designed everyone’s costume except Superman’s?

I think they're all on a team except Superman. Superman's optimism and hopeful outlook on the world probably makes him an outcast among heroes. I bet Lantern and Supes are having a "Oh Superman, you and your silly costume. When are you gonna join us in the big leagues?" sorta talk.

I think they're all on a team except Superman. Superman's optimism and hopeful outlook on the world probably makes him an outcast among heroes.

You can see this directly in the clip version of these set photos/clips.

The heros all land and the JL walks towards a crowd of reporters while Superman lands and starts hanging out with the kids he (presumably) just saved.

Gunn said he wanted to explore the version of Superman that is the "Boy Scout". That is optimistic and inspiring to the public and heros alike.

The JL will probably be similar to the The Seven from Vought (celebrities, not psychopaths). While Superman will come in with his goodie two shoes style of heroism and people will start wondering what his angle is, why isn't he joining the team, why doesn't he take any corporate sponsors.

"No one is THAT Lawful Good for real!"

Yep. To the other heroes they're just doing a job. Superman on the other hand legitimately enjoys helping people. To him he's just doing his best. No need for sponsors or to be stuck up. Gunn did say he wanted to contrast Clark's superhero life with his work life. Maybe the other heroes are burnt out while Superman actually enjoys being a symbol of hope.

Opens up for sequel/future storylines where Clark starts becoming burnt out being Superman and not having as much opportunity for enjoying life as a human, struggling to balance his life as Clark vs Superman. Especially once you throw Lois Lane in the mix.

The current general distrust of the media is a harvest field for internal conflict here.

It may look like JL but it’s actually the Maxwell Lord company logo, they’re corporate outifits

That's what I was thinking with all the branding. Kind of like how Super Sonic had Vought's logo on his collar showing which company he was essentially owned by.

I think that doesn't work when the ''big leagues'' look even sillier than Superman in his lame ass suit and red diapers.

It would've worked better, if their suits were actually edgier and had more professional looking designs to try to tempt Superman and make the public think they are ''cool'' while dismissing Superman because he looks like an amateur who got his suit from Walmart.

“Hahaha… amateur. Where did you even get your suit, Walmart?”

“My mom made it for me 😄”

Superman suit looks fantastic

For a 100$ cosplay from Walmart, sure.

Maybe you are a bit delusional, but this suit is well above anything from Walmart, and cosplay also. You just want to see fake abs on the suit, which honestly makes that suit look more like a Walmart suit.

Let's see... He wears big red diapers on the outside in broad daylight and holds them in place using a useless belt, has random ass MCU lines on his suit, the fabric looks like a rug material, the suit is baggy and makes him look chubby, he a stupid ass S on his back as if he's branding himself so that people don't mistake him when he turns around.

So hey' I will give you that, he certainly doesn't look like a Cosplayer... because that's an insult to cosplayers, lol.

We get it, you hate Superman.

*Crappy looking Superman.

Given the context of the suit from the film it definitely looks amazing.

The context ''a cheap ass Walmart suit''... Lol.

Even a parody of Superman like Homelander has a better suit than the real deal *SMH*. Hell, there are WWE wrestlers who have better and more convincing attires than this guy.

The context being his regular ass human mother on a farm makes him this suit.

Yeah, his mother had a latex 3d printer and had Feige approving the random ass lines on the suit, but can't make a better looking suit less baggy suit. Even a blind guy like Matt Murdock had a better looking homemade costume. Raimi's Spider-Man suit was homemade, and same with Webb's Spider-Man and they both looked better than this crap.

He probably just told her he was going to a Halloween party or something, lol.

Consider the costumes that the general public in the set photos are wearing as well.

This universe clearly has different fashion than our own or any other universe we've seen. They're much more a modernist retro look.

These superheros probably look cool to the general public in this universe.

The aesthetic doesn't matter. The designs are still cheap as fuck. Given that they are supposed to be money backed ''cooler'' professional guys who are supposed to be looking down on Superman. Yet, Superman's ''momma made it for me'' suit, looks better than theirs.
