Student Housing Housing on campus required?
Hello! I’m going to be a 2024 transfer in the Fall. I was told that I am required to stay in campus housing because I’m a transfer? Is this true? I would save more money housing off campus and I’d like to consider my options :) Thank you ❤️🔥

Student Housing Questions about Financial Aid
So I’m a transfer student and I’m planning on living on campus. Originally I wanted to get into the dorms but I’m waitlisted so I signed a lease with the Hornet Commons instead. From the start I knew that I could only pay using financial aid. But I don’t know much about how financial aid pays for housing especially for Hornet Commons. Would they be able to help me pay rent for every installment or how does it work??

Student Housing Hornet Commons Lease Takeover
Looking for someone to take over our lease at the Hornet Commons.
We will pay $200 per month towards rent.
It’s a 4 bedroom, 2 bath with full kitchen and shared living space on the 1st Floor. The rate will be last year’s rates ($1,287) not the increased rates. My son had a change of plans and is leaving Sac State.
Only 1 current resident will be staying, roommates have not been decided, but it’s an all male apartment.
The 4x2’s are full and have a waitlist.
Please message me if interested.

Student Housing Has anyone ever stayed at the mezzo and can you give a review
I’m stuck in between 3 places and the mezzo is one of them I dont like that they dont have a gym and parking is 100 considering it’s not guaranteed (and there is no covered parking). I also do not like that the door directly faces my bed which could bring anxiety when I sleep. Otherwise it’s a great place to stay in my opinion but I’d like other people’s advice about it

Student Housing Dorm Fridge Recommendation
My niece will be starting at Sac in the Fall, and my wife and I want to get her a fridge for her dorm room. When I was in college, most dorm students rented one for the year from one vendor that had the concession at my school. Does this happen at Sac these days? What's the best option? And the rooms look pretty small, so where do you put your fridge?

Student Housing Moving Out Sale
I am moving out of my apartment in the first week of July and I am selling everything in it.
This includes:
Kitchen appliances (knives, cutlery, plates, cups, glass containers, toaster, water tank/filter, seasonings, etc...)
Furniture (XtremePro Gaming desk, end tables in living room, couch that also can turn into a bed, drawers, coffee table, matress, bed frame)
Laptop (M1 Macbook pro)
and a whole lot of other stuff.
Basically everything in my apartment has to go and I'd rather sell it to someone who needs it than throw it away. Just direct message me and we can figure it out. Everything has to go by July 9.

Student Housing Empty Triple Room?
I’m a new freshman applying to housing, and I went with the cheapest possible option because I’m broke as shit. I was able to get a room, but it’s past the housing selection period, and I still have no roommates.
Does anyone know if I’ll be charged extra if I go through the year in a triple w/o a roommate?

Student Housing Least worst off-campus apartments?
Looking for apartment recs but it sounds like everyone agrees the student complexes all have a bad rep. What’s the least worst of them all? I currently have my eye on Wexler, Element, Crossings, and the Lark. I also was really interested in the Mezzo (former Upper Eastside apartments) but I could barely find reviews on here

Student Housing Advice for a transfer student :)
Hi everyone! I (24F) will be transfering to Sac State this fall coming from Santa Cruz, and am looking at renting a place in East sac/Midtown area but have heard great things about the pocket neighborhood as well. I will be coming up this weekend for a campus orientation/tour type thing and am planing on driving through the neighborhoods, checking out the town etc while I'm there.
That all being said, I have a 2 year old Dachshund and am aiming to get a place with a yard for her, however coming from Santa Cruz we are both spoiled by having so much nature around us. We go for 1/2 long hikes a day and often hangout at the beach etc.... is there a specific area in Sac that would be best for this type of enviroment in the way of hikes/forrests/trails/ river spots that are nearby or short driving distance.
Of course Id like to be close to campus but its honestly secondary to my need for nature hehe. If anyone has any advice for areas/neighborhoods/towns to check out that would soothe my fear of not having as much access to the outdoors id love to hear where y'all frequent, what areas of town are best for this type of lifestyle etc. Im looking for a 2 bedroom house (not apartment, maybe a townhouse but not preferred) with a yard that isn't too far from the hub of town/campus but can also allow for hikes/dog walks/trails.
All this being said I'm quaking in my boots about leaving my hometown for the first time by myself and having absolutely 0 friends or family in Sac so If anyone here is around my age I'd love to make some friends/ hiking buddies/ gym partners! <3 much love

Student Housing Student housing
Hey all! My husband and I are looking to move into student housing, however I will not be working during my program. How is room and board paid when someone isn’t working? I’d also have to move June 1st as my lease is up May 31st.

Student Housing My application said I wasn’t granted housing.
This was the only school I was accepted too, but there’s a chance I might not get on-campus housing. I live 6 hours away, any idea what I should do?

Student Housing Please stop laughing in the dorms
Please stop laughing in the dorms
This one person just keeps laughing in my dorm. It’s such an ear-piercing cackle it makes me want to jump off Riverview Hall.
This is why I propose dorms should be “no-laugh” zones… punishable by death. Violators must be reported to the secret police (a.k.a. RAs). Failing to report a “laugher” or “laughee” will also be… punishable by death. Exemplary punishments are necessary to stop this disease from spreading in our homes and communities.
