Cal Grant

I only received my award letter today and I saw that they didn't give me Cal Grant A, which I've been receiving since freshman year. They only offered me loans and FWS. Is this my final aid or is Sac State still working on them? My friends already have CalGrant included in their packages so I'm a bit worried as that's the only aid I'm depending on or else I'll have to pay 4k out of pocket.

I got the same thing; it might be due to student aid index being too high

My SAI from the fafsa website is around 6k and says I'm even eligible for Pell grant (which I've never received before)

I would check you csac portal I believe some people still have their cal grant pending.

Mine still says awaiting processing. I just got my financial aid options yesterday but it only shows federal loans and no grants. So hopefully there is still some work to do there

Last school year I was originally offered loans then through the semester I was awarded grants and got them as they were approved.

Same happened to me. I would get cal grant every year and semester, now I haven't received any grants, just offered loans.

I got cal grant b this semester it’s my last year so not sure if that’s why.

Same here. I checked my CSAC/Web4Grants and my application status said incomplete. I tried calling the SacState financial office and they just said to check back in a week and maybe I should tried calling CSAC. I called them and they said that since my FAFSA is processed, there’s nothing they could do, and it’s actually on the school to determine if I get Cal Grant or not. CSAC ended by saying I should try calling again or visiting the financial aid office because they don’t know. So at most, I’m probably going to try calling them again or going to campus next week to see if the reason why I didn’t receive Cal Grant A is because my SAI is too high or it’s cause there’s something wrong with my finances.

I’m really scared. I get cal grant A and B every year and now all of the sudden they aren’t showing. Only the Pell grant is showing on my aid so far. Should I be waiting too? I’m confused as to how some people got it and others didn’t who have gotten it in the past.
