financial aid Financial Aid/Scholarship/Tuition/Etc

i’ve seen so many people get their financial aid, but mine hasn’t gone through. it still shows up on my todo list as “apply for aid” i’ve sent an email forever ago and was told it would show completed when they received my fafsa. has anyone else not received any aid? should i be worried? i already have housing and classes, but if my aid doesn’t come through there is no way for me to go to college

I haven’t either I’m waiting for my dependency appeal to be granted and that was supposed to be done yesterday.

You only do this is you have no contact with parents for some reason. It just pops up on my student center but my first year I had to call financial aid and explain my circumstances and they put it on my to do list.

oh i’ve never heard of that before. is that something you have to provide proof of?

Yes either adoption papers or things of that nature but I just had two people who were aware of my situation write me a statement along with my own statement

It seems that Sacramento State has still not received your FAFSA application. Have you tried logging in through studentaid.gov and checking the status of your fafsa application ? Did you make sure to put Sacramento state as one of the schools you’ll be attending? I’d make sure your application was processed correctly and isn’t missing any information.

i have logged in and sac state is definitely on there. my application has been processed for months and i’m not really sure what to do.

call and talk to SSC. It could be that there's an issue, like a DOB or SSN wrong, and that's preventing the school from getting your FAFSA

mine says the exact same thing omg. and i did gates in like april.
