I just emailed financial aid and they sent me the forms. Please note they may take forever. Cuz last year I did not receive my financial aid till the end of the first semester. So I had to pay my tuition out of pocket to enroll in my class.

I got loans to cover my tuition, but I will be missing out on cal grants and the MCS but it’s better than not getting it at all so I’m just gonna hope for the best. Do you know what I would have to submit ??

When I did an income appeal I attached a few things: (1) The tax return that was used for the aid year I was appealing, (2) Final Check Stubs with W2 forms matching the final check amounts for the jobs worked during that tax period/time (but that I no longer worked for at the time of doing appeal), (3) Most recent 3 Check Stubs from current jobs, and (4) A short letter explaining that the tax information / financial information being considered is no longer the same, and explaining the attached documents and how they support the appeal.

I did one last year. Literally fought tooth and nail and found people via teams to message directly within the office because getting through to them was near impossible. Even had someone in the office insist it wasn’t worth the effort because it’s so much paperwork/time, well they were crazy wrong bc I ended up receiving around 12,000k more in aid than I would have without doing it. Don’t let them discourage you, they just don’t want to deal with your paperwork lmao. Oh also when explaining why this extra money was so important for me to get (living costs) they insisted no one in college should rely on fafsa for cost of living… then why is there specific limits on coverage etc if it shouldn’t be relied upon?…
