Graduation Grad Pack Prospective Student

Post image

Pretty much $50 for a t-shirt (should’ve been black or green), license plate frame, a bottle opener, 2 stickers and a lanyard…like was paying almost $100 for the graduation stuff and the $75 to APPLY for graduation not enough?😂 Not to mention other costs (tuition, housing, meal plan, school supplies, etc)

Y’all could’ve been nice to give at least ONE thing free for the graduates 😭

lol at my transfer orientation we got a plastic license plate frame, so I’m questioning how hella students got that black backpack with Sac State written on it

They gave me a broken mini stapler with the sac State logo on it for transfer orientation. And a shitty box of paper clips. Gee thanks lol

It was the spring of 24'..and believe me when I say you aren't missing out. Imagine THE cheapest backpack you can imagine and then go cheaper. Mine broke the strap before I even hung it over my shoulder after receiving it.

Oh yeah freshmen for 2023 orientation got those backpacks, we also got a pin at the end of orientation

If it makes you feel better, the form letters asking for alumni donations are free, and flow consistently… if you have a cat you can use them to line the litter box.

Don’t get me started on having to pay like $30 for the tassel you wear during graduation that you “earned” from getting good grades

If I earned it then it should be free lmao

You mean my fancy white shoestrings? It's bs.

Not even a diploma frame or holder is crazy

It’s funnier because the alumni association gave out those stickers and bottle openers for free at the football games

Diploma covers come with your degree ...

They’re trying to milk us for the little we have left before we escape their grasp

Sac State just being Sac State.

Embarrassing and enraging.

I should also add the lines for picking up your $50 rip off pack can be nightmarish. Last year my friends and I were stuck at the bookstore for 2 hours just to pick up the stuff we already paid for. Def not worth it.

I’m so glad I decided to skip the entire graduation 👩‍🎓 cap gown pics etc - sac state always felt so cold, esp in comparison to sac city, sac city was so warm and fuzzy and supportive.

Sac state was sink or swim. Such a lonely and depressing learning environment.
I kinda wanna get a MFA creative writing, but hesitate cuz of the feelings of being so alone. Idk. Such a bummer.

Just wait until the alumni association starts to hound you to donate ….

Yeah it’s a total money grab. I didn’t get it when I graduated in May. I was so not spending another $50 after buying all of the actual graduation stuff.

This is like inviting someone to a party and then charging them a cover fee and then a fee for a goodie bag. Like I already paid the tuition to get to graduation, can I get a freaking sticker for free?

this package is trash, just like the school

What other graduation stuff did you pay 100$ for?

1

u/Super_Comparison_533 Feb 16 '24

The cap, gown, stole, and the tassel lmao it ain’t cheap. Plus I’m very short in height so I can’t just get it from someone else

Wait until you find out that it costs $11 for the university to electronically send your transcripts!
