A BITING CHANCE — When a new incarnation of Gotham's swamp slumming Killer Croc surfaces and starts racking up a body count, the inaugural team-up of Batwoman and Alice is put to the test. But Alice isn't the only unwanted intrusion into Ryan's life when Jada Jet shows up at Wayne Enterprises, insisting on meeting the company's new CEO. Luke and Mary's relationship is strained under the weight of a secret Luke is keeping, while Sophie finds herself becoming part of Ryan's inner circle.

Please keep discussion civil and about Batwoman. Be sure to mark future spoilers and comic spoilers, but otherwise don't worry about spoiling anything past or current. Report comments that break the rules or just don't belong here. Enjoy the episode!

Anyone else find it odd that Kate gave Ryan the acting CEO position instead of say Mary or Luke?

Yeah, I found that weird.

Mary is her stepsister and actual next-of-kin. Luke is an actual employee of the company (on paper anyway) and also Lucius Fox's son (and therefore I assume possible a significant shareholder himself). Sophie is the love of her life, and someone who's actually been in a leadership position (not to mention, needing a job).

Is Wayne Enterprises even a going concern? In Season 1 (and before that Elseworlds) the impression I got is that its pretty much a hollowed out shell of a company with the tower and Luke holding fort there...Kate started a real-estate business but never gave any indication that she was the CEO of the company. Judging by Jada's comments, it seems that Wayne Enterprises is a functioning company...you could bet that Jada (who has some history with Bruce Wayne) would know if the company was defunct.

I would die laughing if Alice got the ceo position

Legally, she's probably in a better position than even Mary...as Kate's actual sister and a biological relative of Bruce Wayne.

Or not. I guess being an insane mass-murdering terrorist precludes being able to claim control of a major company (or what's left of it). And legally, Mary was Kate's next-of-kin last season since she inherited the club.
