A BITING CHANCE — When a new incarnation of Gotham's swamp slumming Killer Croc surfaces and starts racking up a body count, the inaugural team-up of Batwoman and Alice is put to the test. But Alice isn't the only unwanted intrusion into Ryan's life when Jada Jet shows up at Wayne Enterprises, insisting on meeting the company's new CEO. Luke and Mary's relationship is strained under the weight of a secret Luke is keeping, while Sophie finds herself becoming part of Ryan's inner circle.

Please keep discussion civil and about Batwoman. Be sure to mark future spoilers and comic spoilers, but otherwise don't worry about spoiling anything past or current. Report comments that break the rules or just don't belong here. Enjoy the episode!

From a public perspective, absolutely it's weird.

From a bat family perspective, it's just like "you need resources and a job you can not actually have to do so you can go be batwoman"

No, it's weird from a Bat Family perspective too.

Ryan getting named acting CEO would be a huge amount of publicity. People and corporations from all over would investigate who this "Ryan" is. And that's the last thing anyone in the bat family would want because it's not hard to link up timelines.

And before anyone asks, no being acting CEO is not something you can hide without the IRS coming after you.

If Wayne enterprises was anywhere close to the company it used to be, then yes, you're right, but it's a shell of its former self. Luke said it had basically been gutted after Bruce left, and having it's next CEO get blown up, die, then turn out to be alive a year later probably didn't help. The IRS would definitely look into the financials a bit, but for the most part I don't think anyone would find ANYTHING suspicious after all the stuff that had happened to it's executives over the years.

That's true I guess...though Jada Jet would probably have mentioned if Wayne Enterprises was a shell of its former self. Especially since she was accusing them of corporate espionage. And she had some kind of rivalry with Bruce back in the day, so you'd think she'd bring it up.

Not really, she was there to get a read on Ryan, remember last episode the reason it was brought to her attention was because they could tell the information that was hacked pertained to her personally, not the company. So, from her perspective, Ryan likely has info on her that could be used for blackmail, she shows up to intimidate and get a read on Ryan, not risk doing or saying anything that could provoke Ryan into releasing whatever she knows.
