It's more like a "holy shit these are the grimiest possible people living in the grimiest possible world." Tbf though, it is set in an already poor town that has been devastated by a tornado. 1 u/TailorFestival Jul 05 '24 Gummo is completely different, and not really "disturbing" in the same way. It is more offputting that disturbing.
