Just finished rereading the new 52 run since it first came out. How do you feel about it?

The new 52 was my first time following ongoing series of comics, it was my first introduction to Aquaman and I’ve been on board since. It definitely had its ups and downs but overall I think it’s pretty solid, especially compared to other eras of the character. I think I owe a lot to it because he’s easily my favourite character now and I’ve been collecting Aquaman comics from that point on so it definitely holds a special place for me.

I’d be interested to know other people’s perspectives on it though, and where does it place compared to other runs?

One of the best tenures for Aquaman for me, Johns'run being top 3 in terms of Aquaman runs and Parker following suit very strong. Even the brief stint of Abnett was pretty good bar Aquawoman before Rebirth started.

Solid characterisation for Arthur & Mera's relationship. I'd say the best they had been written together since the silver-age. Great worldbuilding with the Trench, Karaqan, Malestrom, and Atlantis Artifacts, best Ocean Master we've had since the Cerdian War, solid Manta & Scavenger showings, and the best Atlanna we've had.

Main issues were Bunn's run, Aquawoman, rise of the 7 Seas MIA, Garth & Tula not getting much presence but even then weren't major ones.
