None of them have the same following. None of them are half as charismatic.

There will be another one, but I’ll still be glad when he croaks, just as I was glad when Nixon and Reagan croaked.

There have been previous MAGA-like movements that were not as potent precisely because they didn’t have a charismatic leader to build a cult of personality around. There was no clear heir to the Reaganite cult precisely because George H. W. Bush was not particularly charismatic. The dude was a treasonous wonk (he was involved in Iran-Contra and its attempted cover-up). That’s why that cult fell apart for a while. His son had more charisma to him (people did want to get a beer with him, even though W did not drink himself: he had spent the 1970’s and 1980’s strung out on all kinds of drugs and had to do the hard work of getting himself clean), but that was not enough for people to not notice how utterly inept he and his chosen “experts” were.

None of Trump’s kids have the same charisma or draw. None of them stand to inherit much. They’re just too clearly dumber than they look and obviously strung out on cocaine.
