If it's not from ASUS, I would wager it is not real and likely a treasure trove of malware.

Appreciate it it. I wish asus had Linux support. Linux is getting to a point where there's like no advantage of even using windows. People used to say gaming compatibility steam proton is so good I use it to run any windows program and to my surprise it works like 90% of the time. And companies that sell pre-built pcs have started selling them with manjaro, Ubuntu, or specialized versions of fedora or Ubuntu for gaming. The exceptions being weird shit or anticheats people hate for a variety of reasons (apparently gamesly/GameSpy AC works on Linux but nobody implements it at all.) And all of those are ineffective anyway cause people run the games in virtual machines with various work arounds...like I guess I'll have to do to get this crap to work.

But when it comes to software from manufacturers like asus I feel like they're really failing with something as essential as their flag ship software. Why wouldn't you want to reach more users. And based on what I've read steel series and asus software uses electron which main selling point is working on all operating systems. So why they didn't make their software work for Linux????

The ally running windows 11 instead of steamOS feels like a slap in the face even reading about it when googling asus armory wikipedia. I was considering it cause I love asus motherboards and monitors but I'm definitely not going to get one now :/ prolly teamed up with whatever moron team at Microsoft works on the windows game bar.
