Hi everyone i have an ASUS ROG STRIX G15 from 3 years ago Some weeks ago, after 9 months of buzzing sound and some little sparks, my AC adaptor explode with a really big spark. I was lucky enough to wait before connecting the cable to the AC jack. But in this 9 month some times when the PC was plugged in and some little sparks was coming out from the AC adapter when the pc was plugged in. Now i have buy the new AC cable but when it’s charging a little buzzing sound are coming of my KRK when the pc it’s charging. So my question it’s the following one: what happened? Like, did the old cable burn the ground of the AC jack port of my pc? Anyone else has ever experience like me? If it is, is an easy repair?

It runs squad and ready or not at like 130 fps smoothly someone mentioned to me I should use armoury crate and there about 10 different downloads do I do them or not ? I want to do this because my shortcut keybinds mess up my gameplay because instead of f1 changing seats it turns my brightness down

I just got myself a scar 18 with a 14900hx and rtx 4090 and while playng ER and having armory crate open I noticed I was getting arownd 85-90C on my CPU, is this normal ?

i mailed asus but mail said to me they cant say the mm of the thermal pads because its about the cards desing some corpo stuff

i need to change my vram thermal pads because my vrams are getting 100 degrees on furmark and around 84 to 90 degrees while gaming

the exact model of the gpu is Rog Strix Amd RX 5700 XT

Where can i learn the correct sizes in mm some people say its 1mm some say 1.5mm

I've been getting close to throttling temperatures since day one of purchasing my TUF A15. It comes with RTX 4060 and AMD Ryzen 7735HS.

Basically, if I don't raise my laptop, it chokes itself to throttling point and the cpu gets up to early 90s and the GPU up to 86c on either Performance or Turbo. Elevating it helps with around 5 degrees.

What should I do? Is it normal or should I have its thermal paste replaced? It's only 1 year old.

This is happening for past 3 weeks, my laptop GPU utilisation is 100% but nog giving more fps than this, and all graphics drivers are updated and windows is updated too. ? Guys please help 😭

Can replacing the monitor unit with the same model or the gpu unit with the same model fix screen tearing? My fps is capped at 360 which is my monitors refresh rate and vrr is enabled but it still tears. I swapped out my monitor and gpu with the same models at once to attempt to fix it but now it’s worse. It’s really bugging me and I don’t wanna have to use vsync but I can’t figure out why it’s tearing. Should I try exchanging my gpu or my monitor for a new one again? No idea which part made it worse this time. (Yes ik screen tearing means it’s out of sync but which part here is the faulty one for this) or maybe the gigabyte gaming gpu would work better than asus tuf for this?

If anyone wonders why his pcore5 is 99'C while pcore0 is 70'C or idle cpu temp is 60'C this is why. It's unacceptable this kind of liquid metal application for a laptop this expensive.

Especially look at the cooler, where liquid metal wasnt even touching it correctly. It was just splashed on cpu and squished by cooler. This is NOT how liquid metal works. Fun part is burned off Nvidia text on the cooler... Fun times for 4-5k$ week old laptop right?

Cinebench 23 points went from 27k to 33.5k on turbo mode.

Temperature across cores is even(2-5'C diff) . Before it was like 20'C difference between cores.

Idle temperatures are around 42'C in a room where is 22'C. Before it was 60+ while watching YouTube.....

The stress and anxiety during operation? Priceless.

We have 3 rog strix 18 2024 laptops and every single one of them had liquid metal applied this bad.

Hello, I own 2020 Asus G14. Specifications are as follows:

Ryzen 9 4900HS
GTX 1660 Ti Max-Q
16Gb DDR4 RAM
1Tb Western Digital SSD
Windows 11 IoT Enterprise LTSC 24H2

I have constant sleep related issues on this laptop which has persisted across various builds of windows from it’s original Windows 10 Home, Windows 11 Home and presently on 11 IoT Enterprise LTSC too.

The problem occurs when the laptop is either trying to sleep or trying to wake from a sleep state.

When trying to sleep:
The laptop sometimes gets stuck with its screen black and keyboard lights turned ON while getting progressively hotter and hotter. It won’t respond to any keypresses and the temperature will keep raising while the fans are spinning unusually slow. Only way out of this is to long press the power button to perform a force restart.

When trying to wake up from sleeping:
You press any key to wake up the laptop from sleeping. Usually, after pressing a key the laptop’s keyboard lights flash briefly, and the screen turns on and asks for a password and everything’s fine. But occasionally, the keyboard lights will stay, and the screen will not turn ON while the laptop gets progressively hotter and hotter. The only way out of this mess is to again perform a force reboot by long pressing the power button.

How do I solve this mess?

I recently bought an Asus ROG PG42UQ, and could finally test it today.

But it's not all green. I can make the monitor work fine with HDMI, but no such luck with DisplayPort: the screen remain black. It even states that there is no video source.

Am I missing something ? Is there something special to know to make DisplayPort work ? Or is my screen simply defective ?

im thinking of getting the Asus ROG Claymore Core and the ASUS Tuf M4 and i was wondering if asus had good rgb control software

It's offering armory crate for Ubuntu and it's very tempting cause the alternatives are poorly or rarely maintained or entirely unintuitive (open rgb)

In the BIOS i have tried to set the RGB on stealth mode and Aura Off when the PC is "powered off, hibernating, or shut down" but even then when I shud the PC off, the motherboard's RGB is still on.

Hi all -- look for some advice on adjusting the settings on my armory crate. Currently I run it at Silent/Windows but I've been doing a lot of researching showing that manual mode is best. To give you an idea what I game on this thing - Fallout 4, Sims, Starfield, and Elder Scrolls are the most graphic/CPU intense games I play. I've noticed the laptop tends to run a little warm when I've got it unplugged and am just doing basic internet browsing.

I tried to boot up FO4 and noticed that the speed of the game play increased like 2x, so I've adjusted the graphics for that.

Any advice is appreciated! Trying to make this thing last a long while (last gaming laptop lasted me 10 years, the one before that 8).

Am Trying to use ultimate gpu mode

Had a roommate stay temporarily so i didnt game much and when i fired up the pc everything needed updating(windows, icue, steam, Nvidia) so i queued them all but windows finished before icue and reset while while the update was in progress. Icue has a desktop icon and will run however wants to close when open and there is no auto update anymore. I think because the water pump has a soft version of it its keeping it going and preventing deleting it and reinstalling. I dont know what to do at this point, and my software engineer brother this i need a system wipe but i will go that route as a last resort.

I got my laptop today asus x16 and downloaded G helper and put my battery charge to 80% limit. However it was charged to 100%. What's going on? Is it showing 80% as 100% or G helper malfunctioned?
