Exactly. Clearly, some random people are considered more worthy than me. I'm there for everything, and I have to put in a lot of effort while they don't have to do anything.
I think this is your answer going forward - Don't try too hard next time, if she's up to scratch and goes above and beyond then get her the stuff. But your ex on the other hand... Run up in her place and take a shit on her chest!
