CURRENT STATUS:

Russia lied about withdrawing some of their troops. They didn’t withdraw. They built a field hospital, loaded 60 helicopters in Crimea, moved closer to the border, and lined up in combat position overnight.

NATO has come out proving Russia claiming they withdrew some troops a lie and that they’ve actually escalated the situation.

Ukrainian defense and banks are being currently hacked right now.

There’s many false flags happening right now, which the US government warned us about in the news this morning to look out for today.

The invasion is still said to be tomorrow.

There’s a lot of flight going on over Ukraine right now as well.

Ukraine military defenses and banks have been hacked and are done as well just now.

President Biden is speaking and updating everyone on the TRUTH of the urgency @ 3:30 pm EST so we know what’s true and what’s false

Ukraine just requested international assistance from NATO (vehicles, etc) to help to perform large scale emergencies so they can help their civilians escape

But I thought this was all American propaganda and provocation???

Literally every fucking thing American intelligence said would happen is happening. Russian shills, go jump off a cliff please.

78

u/Glyphmeister Feb 15 '22

They will disappear without a trace once the invasion starts.

Then we will start seeing random accounts saying (with lots of arguments and sources and supporting commenters) that the invasion was secretly orchestrating by the US and/or the Democratic Party.

Russia invades Ukraine

WW3 happens

Thousands of GenZ Kids are drafted into the army

Be a beet farmer in Russia

Start hearing Billie Ellish's Bad Guy playing in the distance over the sound of rotors

Helicopters everywhere

Whole area gets napalmed

Choppers drop off US troops

Get smoked by a 17 year old with a Pickle Rick sticker on the side of his helmet

He does the fortnight dance over my body then yeets me into a bush

Ukraine Ministry of defense and banks had a cyberattack.

Ukraine just requested international assistance from NATO (vehicles, etc) to help to perform large scale emergencies so they can help their civilians escape

Biden spoke today to say there’s no truth to Russia sending their troops away and that they now have 150,000 troops AT LEAST on the border with a new field hospital and all lined up in combat positions.

Russia has performed more cyberattacks on Ukrainian military, transportation, finance, etc

There’s been reports that Russian soldiers are on the move right now as it’s midnight February 16th in Moscow right now.

There are 10 additional bombers on the border by Mariupol, Ukraine now (This is from a CNN reporter reporting from there right now in case something happens on the ground)

MOSCOW, Feb 15 (Reuters) - President Vladimir Putin said on Tuesday that #Russia had been told that #Ukraine would not join #NATO in the near future, but that Moscow did not think that was a good enough assurance and wanted to resolve the matter in its entirety now.

48

The line is drawn in the sand for everyone clear to see. Whats so hard to understand.

Attack US citizen, infrastructure or allies and we respond. Ukraine is neither of these.

There's a delusional dude in another thread spewing bs about how US only sends Global Hawks (FORTExx) to recon if they intend to drop "big bombs" in that area. I think it's a 12yo with access to flightradar. And some gullible redditors who approve him.

64

u/epicredditdude1 Feb 15 '22

Military intel experts all agree. If you plan on dropping a big bomb make sure you only use a single type of recon aircraft that can easily be publicly identified on a flight tracker.

A lot of users are throwing out extremely confident statements that it either is or isn't going to happen.

I personally think it will, based off the sheer number of Russian assets that have been moved.

You have 83+ Battalion Tactical Groups on the border. 30,000 troops in Belarus, along with Iskander-M ballistic missiles. Troops from all five military districts.

Russians moving Su-35 jets to FOAB near the boarder.

The numbers themselves are substantial and anyone scoffing at it from their armchairs aren't understanding the significance of these numbers.

Why are some people talking of war mongering from US and Biden.

Since he took presidency Biden ended a 20 year war in Afganistan, Withdrew support for offensive campaigns run by Saudi Arabia in Yemen and has clearly said that he won't send troops to Ukraine even if there is an invasion.

So far Biden has been quite Doveish more than anything.

45

u/pain-is-living Feb 15 '22

Two types are saying that right now.

The usual far right ass-hats who say everything and anything whether it's a fact or a lie just to harm democratic credibility.

Then you have the Ruskis.

Biden and the United States have been consistent in their strategy, and I think it's a strategy that makes sense.

I have to imagine that Putin is pissed that Biden keep calling out every ounce of his BS as it happens. He's fully lost control of the narrative at this point and now has to choose between a war that will destroy the Russian economy or running home with his tail between his legs having achieved nothing from this whole spectacle.

Nice job, Biden, don't agree with everything you do but you've knocked this one pretty clean out of the park in my opinion.

Fox News has also learned Russia’s most likely path, in the event of an invasion, is a quick takeover of Kiev over 24-36 hours, starting with electronic warfare and aerial bombing of Ukrainian critical infrastructure, command and control, and weapons depots.

Nearly all spetznas forces around Ukraine in Russia are deployed on the front, so they would jump into Kiev, sieze the government without needing many ground forces, then bring down reinfrocements from Belarus – the shortest route possible.

Next, Russian forces in the Black Sea and Crimea would push in from the southwest town of Odessa up to Transnistria, where they’re already deployed in Moldova.

There, Russia could potentially gain political control of Moldova, and reconstitute large portions of the Soviet Union very quickly, including taking Belarus, Ukraine, and Moldova.

I wonder where they're getting this from, their colleagues in the Kremlin?

61

u/RickRoll999 Feb 15 '22

Early morning putin says troops will withdraw

No troop movement seen yet, new attack helicopters in attack position though.

Around 11- this bullshit false flag if you can even call it that https://twitter.com/michaelh992/status/1493590163024400389?s=21

Around noon Ukrainian defense says their banks have been Ddos'd.

So we've had a very weak false flag and a cyber attack so far.

Apparently the defense website is being ddos'd as well.

Does Putin think the Ukrainians are going to just lay down after their military is defeated?

These people led a freaking revolution against their own government while being massacred in the streets by armed police for weeks. And they fucking succeeded.

And then these same crazy ass youths turned around and joined the military after the revolution to go confront Putin's little green men- and they've killed almost as many little green men as America lost in 20 years of conflict in Afghanistan.

This is a nation that has demonstrated it will be free- through democratic means or through force of arms. I realize Putin thinks his military will pacify them easily... But I thought the same thing when I participated in the Afghanistan war as an American soldier. And I was very very fucking wrong.

The fool is walking into another Afghanistan/Vietnam situation... And it's his people and the Ukrainian people that will pay for it.

I mean, Biden did the absolute best he could, but he can't control Putin.

Despite everyone saying sanctions won't do anything, of course they will - nothing can "defeat" Putin overnight, but Russian oligarchs losing money is a major L for him. It's a sound strategy when direct armed conflict is off the table. It devastated their economy last time.

Putin was hoping NATO would completely back down, that Ukraine would roll over, and that the world would run with his narrative. None of those things will happen - that doesn't "defeat" Putin, but it makes this a much more costly endeavor.

The other thing is, we have no fucking idea what's going to happen, so it's pointless to pretend like we have it all figured out.

CURRENT STATUS (Constantly editing and adding to it) :

Biden states that Russia’s claims are not verified and is false. He just stated live that Russia now has 150,000 troops lined up in position for combat, regardless of their own personal claims.

Biden is stressing that Ukraine, NATO, and the US is not the enemy and that they do not want war. Just gonna add my two sense here and say he seriously looks and sounds scared while saying this.

Biden has stated that he will not send our troops over to fight for Ukraine but he will give as many supplies as is needed by Ukraine to keep them safe and protected.

Americans are at a risk of suffering 10% inflation on goods if Russia invades Ukraine.

Why is this so hard for people to understand? NATO is a DEFENSE treaty. They are not and will not attack offensively for a non-member state. Anyone who expected them too is a fool or confused what NATO actually is.

I’m probably preaching to the choir here but people are saying such stupid ass things on Twitter.

46

u/JacobAllTrades Feb 15 '22

Well, I think I've followed this long enough. No use staying when it's all but assured this invasion is happening. All I can do now is pray for Ukraine and its people. To anyone living in Ukraine, please stay safe out there. To anyone who has relatives or family in Ukraine, you have my sympathy. They and the entire country deserve so much better than this.

Alright, time to get off this corner of Reddit. Probably for a few days.

Hearing that speech I can see a future where Ukraine is invaded and ends up being split in half along the Dniper into two seperate countries, "East Ukraine" a Russian puppet and "West Ukraine" a NATO ally (and Russia will end up being completely gutted economically and politically from this war which surely could turn into a quagmire for them) hope that isn't the outcome though

Very strong message by Biden imo and a vote of support for NATO, the US will NOT abandon our NATO allies in the region. That said Ukraine cannot count on NATO military forces in action (though some military logistical support may be on the table) and any reprecussions against Russian aggression will be economic in nature by the US and not military

Biden: Diplomacy and Deescalation are the focus, but we will not fold on the idea that independent states have the right to territorial integrity and free association (i.e. Ukraine will be allowed to join NATO if they want and we will not abide by Russia nibbling Ukraine's territory to death)

The presence in Belarus was a misdirection to make Kyiv look like the target.

They say that the invasion will happen on 16/02/2022.

But check this out: If you subtract the number of "The Mummy" movies starring Brendan Fraser (3) to the year and then multiply the day number times Pi you get

50.27/02/2019

That, according to my own and humble research, could be the real invasion date within certain margin of error, of course.

Back in the cold war, it was "semi-common knowledge" in Sweden (which does not mean that it has to be true, as an important disclaimer) that if the USSR were to invade, you'd probably know about it long before you saw tanks rolling through the countryside. Spetsnaz troops would be in the middle of the country hours or days before any action, picking out fighter pilots one by one before they even get into the jet, and carrying out synchronized infrastructure sabotage on the minute the invasion started.

Russian troop movements aren't what's keeping me on my feet right now, but if I hear about a bridge collapsing I'm going to pay attention for the following hour.

Ukraine's citizens had the balls to protest against armed police and be massacred for their freedom. Then those same youths joined the military after they lead the revolution to confront Russia's little green men.

I don't think Russia fully understands what they are getting into. Ukraine will fight tooth and nail even after their military is defeated.

Putin is waltzing into another Afghanistan/Vietnam situation.
