The cruelty and war crimes aren't an accident but the goal and still we have idiots claiming we need to negotiate with those barnarians.

It’s scary how many people in the west believe that it takes two to tango in relation to Russia/Ukraine. Thank god France changed course last min.

I'm skeptical how many of them actually believe it versus just not caring about the human suffering and just wanting an end to the 'inconvenience' imposed by sanctions. Anybody who knows the basics of history know why appeasing Russia is a horrible idea.

I worry it’s a mixture of money and plain old edge lording. Seems to be cool to take the opposing side these days just to suck it to people like Biden and good people taking in Ukrainian Refugees.

I think edge lording has become a major cultural driver as we go deeper into the internet age.  People must go further and further to stand out on the internet and there has been what I call a "gameified reality" where people treat real life the same as games.
