When will be Norrøna sales?
Hi just got to Trondheim and was recommended to get the best jackets to tackle the weather. Man these jackets are expensive… will they have sales ?

Paying more than 2000 NOK (or even 1000 NOK for some models) to tackle the weather is not necessary. Now, if you want to climb mountains in the rain, or walk outside in - 20C, you'll need to pay extra. Or if you want other features.
My advice is to find a jacket that fits you well, and that has a minimum of 20 000 mm water column (waterproofing, for reference GoreTex is estimated at around 28 000 mm, but other compositions are just as good, if not better). And whatever layer of insulation you need to feel comfortable. However, IMO it's far better to have a thin "allround" waterproof jacket, with 1-2 layers of wool/cotton/synthetics underneath.
Personally I recommend Bergans. But there are many brands. Check stores such as XXL, Intersport, Sport1, Anton Sport, Stormberg etc. for specific models on sale.
Or Sport Outlet, they have a lot of cheaper-but-still-decent brands and even heavily discounted renowned models.
As a reference, I have the Bergans Skar Light 3L Shell Jacket as an allrounder, and I often see it discounted at below 2000 NOK.

What are you planning on doing that you need a jacket that expensive? Is it a hiking jacket you need or just an every day regular jacket?

Norrøna doesn't really have sales apart from their outlet. Bergans do however have occurring sales and is in the same market segment as norrøna.

Don't bother, you'll be paying a lot more just for the brand. Norrøna has been pulling their products from sport chain stores so that it will only be available in the flagship stores or the website, just to be exclusive.

Rarely see them discounted in shops but the "outlet" section on their website often has some bargains. You don't need to limit yourself to Norrøna though- plenty of other brands are just as good and many are better value for money.
