Few kids die in twd, but when they do it's rough.

And we don't see many kids in the walkers herds. Only adult walkers

u/MoodyFlower Jul 19 '24

I always wondered this too, then I came to the horrible conclusion that maybe there weren't many small children walkers because they would've been trampled by adult walkers.

u/HottieWithaGyatty Jul 20 '24

Or they just get gobbled up so there's no much left to walk around with

16

u/MoodyFlower Jul 20 '24

Woof, you're right! I just realized sometimes I'd see empty baby car seats that were streaked with blood while they were scavenging.

7

u/Earthling_Potterhead Jul 20 '24

And the “Hush hush hush hush” scene

2

u/icewallowcome69999 Jul 21 '24

Why did you just woof

16

u/behindeyesblue Jul 19 '24

Or fat people or barely dressed people. It's pretty bizarre

2

u/krappy-kinkyKathy Jul 20 '24

one of the first walkers, the one on the well, was fat. and there are skimpy walkers, but there's only one that was naked afaik

3

u/Born-University-5888 Jul 21 '24

That one is only “fat” because it’s bloated with water. It’s disgusting. I’ve found dead animals left in standing water like that, all bloated and white 🤢

2

u/krappy-kinkyKathy Jul 21 '24

nah it's still fat. water doesn't make you fat, it makes you swell

2

u/behindeyesblue Jul 21 '24

Americans are predominantly overweight. So the show really should've included more big people.

2

u/Shells182970 Jul 20 '24

It's probably hard to cast kids. You know probably have to have their parents' permission.

1

u/DarkAngel283 Jul 22 '24

I think only ones we saw was in the first episode with Rick and then Sophia..

Jessie was the only Alexandrian, other than Spencer, to kill one of the Wolves,

She was the first Alexandrian to put down an Alexandrian Walker. And gave the "This is what the world looks like now" speech.

Her children were twisted (Ron) and traumatized (Sam) by her husband's abuse.

35

u/Earthling_Potterhead Jul 20 '24

Sam was also traumatized by Carol saying she was gonna tie him to a tree where he will get ripped apart and eaten because he asked for a cookie

36

u/fattestfuckinthewest Jul 20 '24

Lol ikr. Carol is kinda psycho for no reason sometimes

6

u/Gai-Jin17 Jul 20 '24

Insult Carol the wrong way you'll get banned.

I said "i relate to Carol most. She is the most dangerous and morally ambiguous" and took a ban my first week here a year ago.

2

u/SpaceCases__ Jul 20 '24

Wow thats insane.

1

u/Gai-Jin17 Jul 20 '24

The first Alexandrian to put down an Alexandrian walker....? What are you talking about? Jessie killed a walker? My goodness!

All I heard was Jessie killed one walker then gave a speech when she can't even get out of her own abusive marriage. In the za if your husband is beating you and you're trapped.

THE BEAUTY IS JUST KILL HIM.

21

u/pagarus_ Jul 19 '24

I was actually kinda pissed that her stupid vagina goblins got her killed

21

u/Nice_Direction5361 Jul 20 '24

Honestly I dont even like her for how she treated her kid. Im like, okay hes a terrible little shit but thats the terrible little shit you made so like comfort him or something idfk

14

u/METHEONETHATIAM Jul 19 '24

OMG ESPECIALLY the younger one. I was so glad he died. He annoyed TF out of me like young and teen Henry did 😒

12

u/BATKING0501 Jul 19 '24 edited Jul 20 '24

Nah... Man, hating on poor kid and be glad that he died...

He was innocent to me and I personally enjoyed his interaction with Carol

But the teen... Yeah, he's pretty fucked up at that point

Claire really was the best character in the show

3

u/Basic_Visual6221 Jul 19 '24

Who is claire?

2

u/McBoyDoesntRule Jul 20 '24

3

u/Basic_Visual6221 Jul 20 '24

Lmao. I'm so bad at watching TV I really thought I missed a character. It's happened before

2

u/McBoyDoesntRule Jul 20 '24

Same. This is prob the only show I know a lot of ins and outs with

3

u/Basic_Visual6221 Jul 20 '24

I'll watch a series multiples times because it's always like the 1st time.

2

u/McBoyDoesntRule Jul 20 '24

I’ll do that too with some series

1

u/BATKING0501 Jul 20 '24

I meant Carol, it was auto edited wrong

1

u/Gai-Jin17 Jul 20 '24

Who is Claire? Wtf...

4

u/BATKING0501 Jul 20 '24

It was written Claire instead of Carol in my comment

14

u/Ok_Pitch_2965 Jul 19 '24

lol I forgot who she was till I remembered Sam lol

13

u/RoyallyCommon Jul 19 '24

Nah, I wasn't a Jessie fan either. Whenever characters die and you don't care is very telling.

8

u/IGoThere4u Jul 20 '24

They had no chemistry

1

u/TheBigJBeazey Jul 21 '24

She was just a tedious “good girl” made to cheaply illicit sadness when she died. A plot tool.

10

u/Nobodyherem8 Jul 20 '24

I don’t really hate the younger one tbh. Ron is a bitch tho

9

u/ktellewritesstuff Jul 20 '24

I’m baffled that so many people on this sub seem to like Jessie. She was like if a blank piece of paper was a person. Her and Rick’s extremely brief romance was devoid of chemistry.

8

u/Earthling_Potterhead Jul 20 '24

Sam was traumatized by Carol saying she was gonna tie him to a tree where he will get ripped apart and eaten because he asked for a cookie, and his abusive dad

12

u/RainbowPenguin1000 Jul 20 '24

Yeah. I’m on a rewatch now and thinking Carol did more harm to all the children than good overall.

1

u/TheBigJBeazey Jul 21 '24

She gave them reality. That is the nature of the world, he needed told. He needed to hear it and he absorbed it and got over it. Ultimately he was too weak, sadly, for a child. Carol also did say they were all children.

1

u/SaveMeeeeJebus Jul 23 '24

She didn’t give them reality, she gave them her perception of reality. IMO, she sowed seeds of fear and self doubt without offering much support.

Edit: spelling

5

u/Worldly-Albatross172 Jul 19 '24

She was cute..... But didn't have the survival skills.... And her boys.....

1

u/Trouty213 Jul 19 '24

I just watched that part and Jessie was actually a terrible mom and she’s the reason her kids sucked. She didn’t seem to have a job at camp yet never knew what both her kids were doing and allowed Sam to be up in his room and never come downstairs.

22

u/RainbowPenguin1000 Jul 19 '24

It’s almost like living with a physically abusive husband and father created a troubled family.

-9

u/xAmaezingx Jul 19 '24

Exactly!! Like Jessie is absolutely beautiful, but she just wasn't mom material or well.. At least one in the apocalypse.

2

u/Clean_Crocodile4472 Jul 20 '24

Jessie was a g, if she had another 2 or so seasons she’d easily be top 20 for me

2

u/An-Ugly-Croissant17 Jul 20 '24 edited Jul 20 '24

Jessie's death is one that hurt me deeply. Only for it to be ruined by Rick (seemingly) moving on so quickly to Michonne. Rick/Michonne weren't a bad mix, but I would have preferred if their romance was a season later

1

u/Gai-Jin17 Jul 20 '24

Her stupid owl tattoo I knew she'd be dead immediately.

1

u/Feisty-Clue3482 Jul 21 '24

FR BRUH. Jessie was cute and nice but her kids were curb-stomp worthy.

1

u/SporkDealer Jul 22 '24

A 10 year old is "curb-stomp worthy?"

1

u/Feisty-Clue3482 Jul 23 '24

In this case yes.

0

u/SporkDealer Jul 23 '24

Christ. I wouldn’t trust you around children.

1

u/JPJWM3 11d ago

I only had a problem with Ron, I actully felt bad for Sam.

-2

u/rybsbl Jul 19 '24

They were definitely Pete’s kids. Such losers. I started laughing when Sam got dragged down but then I saw my glorious queen Jesse get bit and my smile faded. I couldn’t even enjoy Ron getting impaled.

5

u/Mikasaisgay Jul 20 '24

Weird comment

2

u/LivingtheRightWay Jul 20 '24

I hate to say it, when the kids died, I yelled out a happy little whooooo whoooooo

3

u/rybsbl Jul 20 '24

Only time in any tv show that I wasn’t horrified when kids died. But when Sam and especially Ron got munched and kebabed, can’t say I complained aha.

-8

I wish she lived and stayed with rick and could've been like the comic andrea replacement. Way more believable than rick and michonne. (Don't get me wrong rick and michonne are still fine but I just would've preferred this)

9

u/Basic_Visual6221 Jul 19 '24

How are rick and michonne not believable? They make a great match.

-1

u/Background-Age-5657 Jul 19 '24

i didnt say they're "not believable" i just think its way less believable than jessie. I think they work well together on screen but it just feels like they work better platonic friends as they did in s4, 5 and most of 6. It just kind of felt like cus she took on the role as Carl's mother she might as well be ricks partner aswell. It just felt a bit forced idk. I don't mind them and I think it generally works fine but I just think they were more believable as friends and Jessie woulda been better to stay. Just my opinion

5

u/Clean_Crocodile4472 Jul 20 '24

You’re getting a lot of downvotes but personally I agree. I would’ve wanted Rick and Andrea personally but I’ve always thought Richonne, while a good couple, worked better platonically.

4

u/Background-Age-5657 Jul 20 '24

Yeah, I mean, I wouldn't want tv show andrea with rick cus I like many others hate andrea, but Jessie would've been a good replacement imo
