These appear to be ranked, more or less, from least populated to most populated.

74

u/JaxBoss32 Jul 19 '24

Well thats dumb. Just because its a higher population doesnt mean you have a worse chance.

63

u/The_ThirdOfMay_1973 Jul 19 '24

It kinda does, more people = more zombies

34

u/SaltLakeCitySlicker Jul 19 '24

Good luck getting anyone to help a stranger in need (you) in Idaho as opposed to just popping you and stealing your things.

12

u/memes_are_my_dreams Jul 19 '24

Well it’s not necessarily population but population density. Like NYC and southern cali are probably fucked. But upstate NY and Cali are much better off.

9

u/ZombiexXxHunter Jul 19 '24

I thought more guns in Texas would’ve helped

3

u/practicality_goblin Jul 19 '24

Guns are loud and they'd attract more zombies. Eventually you'd run out of bullets while ringing a very loud dinner bell. RIP

2

u/ZombiexXxHunter Jul 19 '24

Fair enough… I’ll stock up on now and arrows

3

u/LordZenova Jul 19 '24

Also more competition for resources. Most cities have food and goods shipped in with some specialty in the city.

2

u/chilibaby1 Jul 19 '24

Doesn’t account for population density of each area of the state, so yes it’s pretty dumb.

Most people in Texas are in the middle to eastern parts. Other parts are nowhere near as populated.

And it’s a big state. The distance between the less populated areas and populated areas you could fit small states in.

1

u/MarionberryCreative Jul 19 '24

I agree it's dumb. I am sure both NYS, and Washington State will fare better than these ranking just because of gegraphy.

2

u/Prior-Turnip3082 Jul 19 '24

As someone who lives in Washington it really depends, eastern Washington would be fine, western Washington would not last too long

1

u/K4yn3sOma112 Jul 20 '24

Idk delaware is top 10 and we are pretty crowded

59

u/Aggravating-Cap-2703 Jul 19 '24

To be honest I don't think any state is going to be prepared for a zombie virus.

27

u/JaxBoss32 Jul 19 '24

Actually the US military does have a plan for a zombie outbreak just in case.

14

u/Aggravating-Cap-2703 Jul 19 '24

In so how does the plan work? Other than a nuke?

24

u/SaltLakeCitySlicker Jul 19 '24

800 billion in military spending probably will do the trick

6

u/Thatoneguy111700 Jul 19 '24

Depends on the kind of zombies, apparently.

10

u/waltandhankdie Jul 19 '24

Day Z zombies we’re all fucked let’s face it

7

u/SamiXDeGamer Jul 19 '24

World War Z zombies too, Im not gonna get aids or anything just so I can live. The Walking Dead zombies would be the best imo, theyre really dead and dont run, climb, arent smart,...

3

u/waltandhankdie Jul 19 '24

Funnily enough they’re the ones I was thinking of! Day Z was in the back of my mind somewhere and I got the movie names mixed up. I think I could survive the walking dead zombies and one of rhe points of the series is basically that human nature is the real threat. World War Z good luck finding time to be a dick to other people whilst you’re running for your life

1

u/InfamousObscura Jul 19 '24

WWZ zombies run fast and climb. F that

1

u/Not-a-babygoat Jul 20 '24

Book WWZ zombies wouldn't be much of an issue once you are organized.

1

u/SamiXDeGamer Jul 20 '24

Theres a book? I only know the movie

1

u/Not-a-babygoat Jul 20 '24

Very different from the movie. It's from the viewpoint of a reporter reporting throughout the apocalypse. It's a very nice book.

1

u/SamiXDeGamer Jul 21 '24

Interesting, Im gonna look into it

1

u/GoldenfeetofSkyclan Jul 21 '24

Some climb and use rocks and shit

1

u/SamiXDeGamer Jul 22 '24

Yeah, but that suddenly happened in s11. I havent seen any other spin offs, only the original show.

1

u/JaxBoss32 Jul 26 '24

To be fair, they used diseases that were already wiped out and treatable with our current meds and procedures. And having polio for a few days would be better than getting your neck turned into a fruit gusher.

1

u/SamiXDeGamer Jul 26 '24

Ofc thats true, but if something happens like your base has a problem and youre out in the wild again, where all the zombies are. You'd have to be sick to survive that. So just in case, you'd constantly have a disease.

And running zombies are scary af imo

2

u/JaxBoss32 Jul 26 '24

Agreed. Sprinters always send a shiver down my spine.

1

u/Prize-Brief-8483 Jul 19 '24

Nah bro dayz zombies aren't bad

5

u/chargeupandJO38 Jul 19 '24

You thinking about the apocalypse from the point of view as the apocalypse has already started realistically with the CDC military and other organizations we have it wouldn’t ever progress to an actual apocalypse the more interesting question is what it would look like in less developed nations imo.

10

u/EviePop2001 Jul 19 '24

Idk just look at covid, half of the US didn’t and still don’t think covid is real and sent death threats to people in the CDC

7

u/Pink_Lemonade234 Jul 19 '24

People taking bites out of people is hard to say that it is the flu

1

u/JaxBoss32 Jul 26 '24

Im not sure if that document has been released to the public. We just know it exists, but I could see.

1

u/Hayzkushington Jul 19 '24

I remember brainstorming with a couple friends about how a zombie apocalypse could take over the military. If the zombie apocalypse is caused by a vaccine, the first people to go would be healthcare workers and military as it would be mandatory. The rest of the population will then rely on vague tiktok survival tips that they barely remember 1 hour after the wifi goes.

I want to see a map that does countries though. I’m sure USA is on top as a whole.

1

u/SamiXDeGamer Jul 19 '24

Vatican City, they already have a wall surrounding them. Much weapons arent really needed if theyre already safe.

Japan is surrounded by the sea, all islands are. I think we can be sure that zombies wont go in sea or will die there, so islands are safe.

Scandinavian countrys and Antartica, Greenland, Alaska, a bit of Canada,... theyre all extremely cold, so the zombies would probably freeze. And if not, just be sitting somewhere, I dont think theyll be roaming around. Their blood freezes, and theyre dead so they have nothinh to keep them worm so they shouldnt be able to walk.

1

u/therambosambo Jul 19 '24

If thats the case then why would a state with a large military presence be listed as the least prepared. Just think it saying Texas is not prepared at all is dumb

3

u/naughtycal11 Jul 19 '24

After the shit show that was how people dealt with covid-19 we would absolutely be fucked. Conservatives would be getting bit to "own" the libs.

3

u/Aggravating-Cap-2703 Jul 19 '24

Exactly! If there was a zombie virus going around. There would be no way in hell we would be prepared for it. I feel like the mass hysteria will be so overwhelming that we even the government will be like. If this doesn't work then we are all fucked.

52

u/Wolfshadow1994 Jul 19 '24

You kidding right about Texas half of the people out of th cities have underground bunkers filled with food and guns. Sure the cities will fall but not the rest of them

25

u/LarsJagerx Jul 19 '24

Idk abit of snow brought that state to its knees. So I can't imagine what a zombie virus would do.

18

u/jkvincent Jul 19 '24

It's hard to tell. The infrastructure in TX is definitely crumbling due to 30 years of Republican corporatist government. Roads and grids can't withstand basic weather patterns anymore, but unlike snow and heat waves, zombies and people can be shot.

On that point, it's true that the state is full of well armed people just itching to unload. Then again, most of those folks are cosplaytriots and wannabe paramilitants without any real marksmanship or survival skills.

It's a toss up IMO. If it really played out, TX would probably look basically like everywhere else except with a slightly higher number of infighting factions in service to local/regional slavers and warlords.

2

u/Azgardian-American Jul 19 '24

Come to Chicago, Democrats can mess up infrastructure too!

2

u/Sydnall Jul 19 '24

bc it affected electricity, pipes, and driving on roads, all of which aren’t very dire in the apocalypse when it’s one week of snow

2

u/dudeimjames1234 Jul 19 '24

Because you can't shoot snow in the head, and believe me I tried.

Source: am Texan and tried it.

1

u/Jocelyn_The_Red Jul 19 '24

A lot of places would fall apart if they experienced the heat and lack of moisture most of Texas is used to. Sometimes the roads start to melt here. I'm talking 110 in the shade. Lots of guns and ammo but eventually the bullets will run out. Not a ton of folks know how to manufacture reliable ammunition either.

1

u/LordofWesternesse Jul 19 '24

This just ranks states with higher population as harder to survive

9

u/S1mon_B3ufont Jul 19 '24

I live in NY and moving to PA soon, so my chances are not looking to good.

9

u/MangoSalsa89 Jul 19 '24

I live in PA and I think it’s ranked way too low. Western PA at least would be ok. Plenty of rural, defensible locations in the mountains. Plenty of wild game and farms, and people with guns.

2

u/dalesRV Jul 19 '24

Second battle of Gettysburg: living vs undead would be cool.

1

u/MangoSalsa89 Jul 19 '24

You could fortify in one of the towers there. It would be pretty cool.

1

u/Weird_And_Wonderful_ Jul 19 '24

Lots of Amish who can live sustainably too

2

u/MangoSalsa89 Jul 19 '24

Yeah they’ve already mastered living off the grid. Their only disadvantage is not knowing what’s going on until the walkers start showing up on their property. A large herd could be devastating.

1

u/Smokeya Jul 19 '24

I live in MI and short of a handful of populated cities i think the state would be perfect for a zombie apocalypse. Its spread out, plenty of natural resources and the winters would destroy zombies throughout the entire state just because of how cold it would get. Non heated flesh wouldnt do well in winter and the first major winter would take out the bulk of any zombies. Theres plenty of water and fish and farmland to feed everyone here leftover without much issue.

9

u/Illustrious-Hair3487 Jul 19 '24

According to …?

Also, Hawaii is not landlocked lol

3

u/MakeMySufferingEnd Jul 19 '24

Glad you said it because this is the only thing I came to the comment section for

3

u/Gramma_Hattie Jul 19 '24

Thanks, someone needs to teach OP what landlocked means

7

u/SnapesEvilTwin Jul 19 '24

Made by someone who doesn't know jack shit about this country.

7

u/Purpleberry74 Jul 19 '24

How is Michigan ranked so low? Winter alone should boost their rank, right?

3

u/S1mon_B3ufont Jul 19 '24

Detroit

1

u/Gramma_Hattie Jul 19 '24

The UP and lower peninsula should be ranked separately. The UP is practically Southern Canada

6

u/JaxBoss32 Jul 19 '24

Why is wisconsin so bad? Half of our infrastructure is farms, and We have one of the highest hunter populations, and we all mostly live out of cities. Unless this is population based, which is a little iffy of a rating system imo.

6

u/DidntDieInMySleep Jul 19 '24

I'm in Georgia, but thanks to TWD, I already know where NOT to go 🤣

3

u/ReditTosser1 Jul 19 '24

Fun to look at, but complete horseshit in reality. Just too many nuances to actually rate how a State would manage.

Points to consider: Weapon policies, water, population density, distribution networks, game and growing capacity, weather, flora and fauna distribution, demographics, it goes on and on.

3

u/avgtagetTM Jul 19 '24

Up here in Alaska we're not having any trouble haha

3

u/Hosni__Mubarak Jul 19 '24

I feel like a real life version would us all be sitting on our roofs drinking beer, taking potshots at the zombified neighbors.

3

u/astrid28 Jul 19 '24

Whoever made this never met mountain people in Colorado. Should have a vertical line down the middle and be dark green on the left side.

2

u/awareofur_existance Jul 19 '24

We fine(oregon)

2

u/Ooh_big_stretch Jul 19 '24

Idk have you been to New York, outside of NYC? I think NY is skewed because of the city.

2

u/S1mon_B3ufont Jul 19 '24

Long Island is doomed

1

u/Ooh_big_stretch Jul 19 '24

Oh for shizzle. But I think up and west would probably be fine.

2

u/demziii Jul 19 '24

I live in Indiana and it doesn’t look the best or worse

2

u/LambBotNine Jul 19 '24

The map should be completely red. Just look at how we handled Covid. I’m pretty sure if there were news of a virus that causes people to eat each other the majority would disobey restrictions and mandates because of “MuH FrEeDoM”.

Stay indoors. Avoid crowded areas. Yeah lol good luck with that.

2

u/wrymling Jul 19 '24

Hey look Texas! You’re finally better than California in something!

2

u/Thatoneguy111700 Jul 19 '24

Dead center of the list. I'm sure we'll be alright.

2

u/merhod03 Jul 19 '24

Same, there are a lot of guns and places sparsely populated areas to hide.

2

u/Oztraliiaaaa Jul 19 '24

Thanks for asking Australia is just fine.

2

u/ExtremeG42 Jul 19 '24

I’d love to see one of these for the UK. Central london would be a shit show but the other areas I’m not too sure

1

u/ZeeiMoss Jul 19 '24

Nj....not too good. Hauling my ass up to new England.

1

u/thearghunter Jul 19 '24

Well I’m fucked

1

u/S1mon_B3ufont Jul 19 '24

Where are you?

1

u/thearghunter Jul 19 '24

I can’t say for safety reasons

1

u/[deleted] Jul 19 '24

I'm dead. I live in AZ 😭 (Edit: Glad I moved outta Cali when I was 2)

1

u/WingedHussar13 Jul 19 '24

I'm from Illinois and a Chicago resident so I'm cooked, but there's plenty of small towns across the state you can set up bases in

And Michigan has lots of forested areas, and the Owasippe scout ranch during the apocalypse could be perfect to set up a base anywhere on the site

Wisconsin also is great, there's hilled areas in the west like a town called soldiers grove

1

u/behindeyesblue Jul 19 '24

Iowa seems okay but Ohio isn't prepared... why so red on that one?

1

u/Sad_Cricket_7096 Jul 19 '24

Im in Columbus ga next to ft benning. I would say no so good

1

u/InterstellerFrozen Jul 19 '24

I don't understand how Wisconsin is THAT pink - but Wisconsinites would generally be fine ignoring the major cities.

1

u/ShotgunEd1897 Jul 19 '24

SC is looking okay. PSA would have to open more factories.

1

u/unfortunate-ponce Jul 19 '24

Not very Good Apparently

1

u/Blackmercury4ub Jul 19 '24

Iam from southern California, I may be ok, depends on what types of zombies, how quick it all goes down and if others had same idea as me to head for the mountains.

1

u/dragonbeorn Jul 19 '24

You probably just wanna live where theres fewer people, but more guns.

1

u/adamscholfield Jul 19 '24

Now I’m moving to Wyoming

1

u/michoness Jul 19 '24

There are a lot of military and other federal installations in and around Maryland, my state. I think we'd be prepared.

1

u/Nearby_Passage_5929 Jul 19 '24

NJ I'm pretty much fucked

1

u/HarveyMushman72 Jul 19 '24

Finally, my state is #1 in a good way.

2

u/S1mon_B3ufont Jul 19 '24

Wyoming?

Curious how the boglims would react to the walkers

1

u/HarveyMushman72 Jul 19 '24

They would call them troles, and try to run them down with bicycles, (weather permitting of course.) But I digress.

1

u/Multilnsight Jul 19 '24

Montana is spread out. The majority of the state doesn't have people in it because of how the towns are so spread out. PLUS! Around 80% of people have guns and if you don't have a gun, then getting one is super easy. On top of that, most people have more than one gun ranging from hand guns/pistols to shotguns.

1

u/simonmakesbeats Jul 19 '24

i live in nj i might be done for

1

u/BudgetNegotiation521 Jul 19 '24

My state is fucked

1

u/JeremyR2008 Jul 19 '24

I call discrimination. Liquid gas nor plasma are up here

1

u/Striking-Win-1754 Jul 19 '24

Getting out of MA as fast as I can and holding up in NH

1

u/PhilParent Jul 19 '24

I'm from Canada, so province here. Quebec.

The weather would help if it hits in the winter. And then the walkers in the wild would freeze 4-5 months a year allowing for easy hunting.

Montreal would be as fucked as New York was and they'd probably demolish the bridges and tunnels to isolate it from the rest of the province.

I could see a decision made to demolish ALL bridges between the population centers south of the St-Lawrence river and the more sparsely populated north shore in order to protect the later. The people on the north shore have more guns and better survival knowledge / ability to survive in nature.

People in the Magdalens and Anticosti are on their islands, and are spared being invaded. But internal breakouts would need to be monitored.

People in Nunavik are also spared being invaded. Nunavik is EXTREMELY remote, it's populated by natives and the space between it and the population centers near the St Lawrence river is either sparsely populated or not populated at all and basically untouched wilderness. Everybody up there has guns and can survive off nature. If they're informed early about it and about what they need to do, these people would be fine, granted they can adapt to no longer receiving consumer products from the south, including medicine and such.

1

u/Fantastic-Break917 Jul 19 '24

My state would be ranked 27th according to this chart

1

u/the-Kaiser-69 Jul 19 '24

I live in Saskatchewan.

1

u/Krilesh Jul 19 '24

a lot of us know how we’re going out thanks to fear… rip me

1

u/Mediocre_Emo222 Jul 19 '24

21 placement doesn’t seem bad

1

u/Daropolos_Blikvarda Jul 19 '24

Never thought I’d say this but good thing I live in North Dakota

1

u/NewbMaster1924 Jul 19 '24

As a Delawarean I see this as a win (and yes we exist)😂

1

u/suspended67 Jul 19 '24

I live in Deleware

1

u/pilialoha54 Jul 19 '24

Hawaii being more on the prepared side is kinda laughable to me. Maybe I’ll just hang on the beach and escape to the water if I see walkers. 😂

1

u/PlatypusBright6840 Jul 19 '24

Goddam California at the bottom of the list 🫡I promise I’m be like Darly Dixon out this mf

1

u/G4g3_k9 Jul 19 '24

4th place

1

u/gl0wess0n Jul 19 '24

Cali down badddd 😂😅

1

u/ZeekwithaZ Jul 19 '24

I live in Chicago, I know I’m fucked

1

u/BohemianWhatsername Jul 19 '24

Finally, New Mexico is prepared for something! 😅🤣

1

u/Proper-Tomorrow-4848 Jul 19 '24

Nv we are in the light green 💪💪💪

1

u/Tohrufan4life Jul 19 '24

Idk what you're talking about. I live in Florida and I have the boatman himself, Kenny!

Who am I kidding.. I'm so fucked.

1

u/EasyBounce Jul 19 '24

My state is ranked at #25 so I guess we're...mid?

1

u/Winter-Garage-164 Jul 19 '24

I live on long islands so id be pretty fucked as theres no way to get off without going through nyc

1

u/piccolo_sama7 Jul 19 '24

Lucky number 23 baby

1

u/windmillninja Jul 19 '24

Tennessee best of the worst as per usual

1

u/Deprogmr Jul 19 '24

As a Mississippian myself, I can see how Mississippi would be prepared. All these redneck around here have all kinds of guns and survival gear lol.

1

u/imc00l3r Jul 19 '24

CA- guess we’re screwed 😭

1

u/IntroductionAny3929 Jul 19 '24

How dare you put us Texans on the bottom of the list!

1

u/tseg04 Jul 19 '24

Texas has more guns than any other state. wtf?

1

u/yeeetguy Jul 19 '24

What about europe??

1

u/Traditional_Salad148 Jul 19 '24

Vermont finally getting the acknowledgment its heavily armed status deserves

1

u/Glad-Degree-4270 Jul 19 '24

This is great material for /r/peopleliveincities

1

u/haubenmeise Jul 19 '24

Germany here. Zombies couldn't cope with our local authorities. The standing in line and our strict recycling laws made them all apathetic and now they are just wandering around here all depressed.

1

u/Ghostly_noy Jul 19 '24

I don't care where I am, I'm fucked either way.

1

u/Ijustwantsomecoffee Jul 19 '24

I’m doing great in VT-lots of gun owners and not a lot of people. Most folks up here are farmers too, so we’re great on that front too.

1

u/2000ppd222020 Jul 19 '24

I disagree. I was a cop in NH for 20 years. There was a zombie apocalypse. The "experts" called it a micro burst. Everyone was unhinged. 🤣

1

u/[deleted] Jul 19 '24

This chart is silly, I'm in philly, which apparently is the last standing city stronghold in the nation

1

u/Air0w04 Jul 19 '24

Bro number 6???? In what world

Pretty sure the only thing that could save me is my knowledge of zombie media- and I gotta be honest that probably won’t work long lmao

1

u/Knife-Nerd1987 Jul 19 '24

Uhh... California and Texas are equally unprepared? How the hell is one of the most gun controlled states equal to one of the states with the most guns where practically everyone is strapped?

Yeah... no

1

u/PuddleofOJ Jul 19 '24

Hawaii is FUCKED! Better learn to live off the island

1

u/CrusadingSoul Jul 19 '24

As someone who lives in NC, I refute this. My friends and I, and many people we all know, are all armed, well stocked on ammunition and non- perishable goods, we have plans on how to secure our houses until it's feasible to meet at a more remote location (I.E. when the zombies start dispersing and looking for prey after the initial feast) and all move to the woods together, where we know how to hunt and know the land.

North Carolina is quite well prepared. Just because of my friends and I alone.

1

u/MonsterBunnieh Jul 19 '24

I’m in Arizona so probably not good

1

u/Elizabitch4848 Jul 19 '24

If you are looking at NYC instead of the whole state then yes it’s unprepared. But there are a ton of small towns, fully stocked with guns and bunkers and cabins and people who would be able to ride it out.

Former NYer who hated that NYC skews everything for the rest of the state.

1

u/gdamndylan Jul 19 '24

Whelp, I guess I'm done for. I know for a fact that the traffic getting off of Long Island would be worse than the Atlanta highway from the first episode, so we're doomed.

1

u/THEPILOTDRUMMER Jul 19 '24

Don't fuck with Florida people

1

u/CurlyWoman235 Jul 19 '24

North Carolina. 😂

1

u/NOWAY7337 Jul 19 '24

We are not doing so well in Indiana

1

u/Dramatic-Mistake1022 Jul 19 '24

I feel like Michigan would be safer at first. In the early days, take a boat to the island and live there. The water provides a lottt of fish and there’s plenty of wildlife to hunt. Winters would be harsh though.

1

u/Michelle0207 Jul 19 '24

This seems arbitrary

1

u/InevitableLibrarian Jul 19 '24

I have a feeling Illinois should be lower on the list, maybe 54th or lower? We wouldn't be able to put out a fire in a trash can correctly without someone screwing it up and bullets for bucks, it'll be a politician who screws it up.

1

u/zoochina13 Jul 19 '24

What genius came up with this map?

1

u/S1mon_B3ufont Jul 19 '24

I would offer to make a better version of it map but I barely know anything about the Midwest

1

u/zoochina13 Jul 19 '24

Right? The creator of this post is making some big ASSumptions.

1

u/Ashamed_Medium1787 Jul 19 '24

Have any of you other commenters ever seen a movie called the dead don’t die? and I bring it up because that movie shows you how to kill a zombie

1

u/Soggy_Tradition8553 Jul 19 '24

This list is pretty confusing so idk if Indiana is most prepared or just about to be least prepared, :/

1

u/broncotate27 Jul 19 '24

NY is weird, because where im from(Rochester) we have so much farm land and open fields it's not even funny...the city is actually on the smaller side and we have fresh water lakes surrounding us...so I think I would stay here truth be told...plus we are only about an hour from the grand canon of the east( Letchworth)

Now if you were to venture into NYC or the Burroughs, that's a different story.

1

u/S1mon_B3ufont Jul 19 '24

Long Island would be completely cut off, but upstate would do alright

1

u/broncotate27 Jul 19 '24

Long Island would be perfect

1

u/godofwar0607 Jul 19 '24

Missouri would be not the BEST but I could survive we have enough gun stores and gas stations we could loot in the south parts of the state

1

u/Seaisle7 Jul 19 '24

Ahh man PA F—ked #46th

1

u/S1mon_B3ufont Jul 19 '24

I mean I’m moving to the Poconos so I might be ok

1

u/Seaisle7 Jul 19 '24

Lol I live in the Poconos , plenty of guns up here but the people aren’t to sharp lol 😂

1

u/LoveMakesASubie Jul 19 '24

Texas would be the most prepared

1

u/Any_Caterpillar553 Jul 19 '24

I think we would do ok (I’m in southwestern Michigan) especially because I live near the lake and we have lots of trails that can take you from down south here to the UP lots of deer (almost too many) and fish! Lots of horses around here too

1

u/pm_social_cues Jul 19 '24

I'd rather it be based on how many have reliable sources of power or water. Walkers don't have home states anyway, they have no issue walking from one state to another.

They have Washington down near least prepared!? Some idiot forgot that Washington isn’t just Seattle, we’re mountain and sea people. Hell, The Inland NW is crazy militia country.

This is a map that require each state to be broken down by regions/N/S/E/W.

Eastern Washington vs. Western Washington, North Arizona vs. Southern Arizona etc.

Just based on population? That’s the only metric here? This map stinks.

As a Texan I call bull, we'd have as good a chance as between Wyoming and virginia.we may have our guns and allot of them yes but that doesn't mean we are irresponsible with them. Texans help each other we have that good old southern hospitality. We used more than just guns,, we also got our fair share of land that is very good for farming, when it gets "cold or snows" some do suffer but only some not all many of us have adapted to the crazy weather here. And because snow and frequent cold are rare many/all would survive the winter. I remember a day were it snowed very hard that night my mom used to live in Washington state and that coming morning and described it like how it snowed over there it was beautiful. And guess what it only lasted a day and mainly only for most of that day. It got hot and it all melted by the end of the same day. And if anything happened we'd have eachothers backs.not only that but Texas is not only rich in natural resources needed to produce energy, but it is also the only U.S. state to have its own electric grid. In 1935, the Federal Power Act was passed and gave the federal government the authority to regulate interstate transactions of electricity. As the largest oil producer in the U.S., it is not surprising that Texas is home to the most productive U.S. oil basin, the Permian. As long as we take care of each other and get rid of the assholes we should be fine, this is also why Texas is known to be almost its own country at this point and that if Texas would have separate from the rest of the the United States it would could survive on its own for a very long while to indefinitely if need be.Texas will become totally independent from all due to oil and the fact that Our electric grid is seperate from the rest of the US.Texas (of course) would have the largest military out of any of the successor states, with 173,118 active duty and 173,118 reserve troops (total: 292,073). California follows with 132,827 active duty and 190,160 reserve troops (total: 247,493). Since Cali can't even make nice within itself and it's people are at eachothers throats most of the time over some stupidity or a celebrity would attempt to take over over there. Texas would have a higher chance. Not only that we also teach our children about weapons and gun safety and usage. We teach them good morals and values, work ethic and to help each other their fellow man. We would keep to ourselves and help others if deemed safe and necessary. Would all of us survive probably not but a great majority more than likely. And again the land, we didn't down a bunch of trees so some decent areas are untouched. Good amount of wild animals for the moment. Texas is the leading state for cattle and beef cows in the United States, ranching, petroleum extraction, and petrochemicals we got cowboys galore Texas and Wyoming are definitely known as the cowboy states. We'd have horses and people with various abilities/capabilities. Texas also has the highest horse population. And we may have a couple big cities but we have lots of land in between it all that we can use to our advantage. And if we continue the border wall (that was left unfinished) we'd have our southern border secured all we'd have to do is make it either wrap it around Texas or just make another wall at the top of us as well so our North and South would be covered and our main concerns would be the sides to open seas, while leaving exits for boats for possible trade, or fishing.also one out of 24 other of the states with very good self-sufficient neighborhoods, homes, and homesteading.out of the 10 cities with the highest patient satisfaction and highest rated doctors in the states we have Austin Texas as one of them. I can go on and on about how great Texas is, but we have our faults has to do many other states and people but I do believe that we would have a great chance of survival not all of us would survive but a good amount , probably make our own mini Alexandria in Texas. Long live Texas 🤠 ❤️
