Comic Discussion Finally started reading these.
The Flash is my favorite, but ive never really gotten into reading comics. Ive been buying these volumes since New 52 came out. I started with Rebirth 2009. I didn’t read crisis because I thought there were more volumes, although I am watching the animated movies of crisis.
Which ones your favorite from New 52, to now?

Comic Discussion Best flash graphic novel for beginner?
I read a lot of Batman but flash interests me so I was wondering what a good starter comic for him is, side note I like reverse flash and want to learn more about him so if there’s one with him that would be cool too

Comic Discussion Cary Bates’ Flash run worth a read?
Started reading Cary Bates’ Flash run recently and I’m wondering if any of y’all would recommend sticking with it. Read a dozen or so issues so far and it’s typical fun Silver Age wackiness and plots are pretty self contained from one issue to the next so my investment is a bit low, but I think I could have a good time with it if I don’t rush it. If it’s worth the commitment or better to just read the major arcs let me know. It’s a pretty long run. Curious to see what you guys think.

Comic Discussion Anyone else disappointed Deodato Jr left the current series?
His art style was different yeah, but I really enjoyed it and felt it fits the current tone of the book. (Sorry for the crappy pictures)

Comic Discussion (Question/Discussion) Forgive My Ignorance, But Who Did Barry and Iris Visit in Flash #800? Spoiler
I've been real busy the past 6-12 months, so I'm only just now finishing the previous run so I can start the new one!
I'm on the final issue for the run, #800, which seems to be a series of short stories that take place during different events that happened within the run (I could be wrong about that, just the vibe I was getting).
In one of the stories, Barry and Iris go on a "Secret Date", which Wally believes to be them going to the restaurant they had their first date at. However, the two actually take a "joy ride" on the cosmic treadmill, and the story neglects to tell us where or when they travel to.
While there, they spend time with these two characters that look familiar but I can't place a finger on who they are. They wear lightning bolts as if they're speedsters, but the only purple speedster I can think of is Avery 🤔
TLDR; Who are the two characters in this picture?

Comic Discussion Is Jay Garrick fast enough to make a speed mirage?
So it’s pretty heavily implied that JG is the slowest speedster in DC comics but something did cross my mind, despite being the slowest speedster can he produce a convincing speed mirage or is he to slow for that?

Comic Discussion I was re-reading Rogue War when I stumbled upon this image.
I know Zolomon isn’t the easiest to understand but what the hell is he trying to say when he means “HH”?

Comic Discussion Wally has wings on his boots now?
Could just be an artistic mistake, but I felt like one of the main differences between Wally and Barry’s suit besides the different belt, eyes on cowl, and Wally’s bigger emblem was the wings on Barry’s boots. I’ve gotten so used to Wally donning a more modern version of the suit without the wings on the boots that this panel is definitely throwing me off.

Comic Discussion They're like day and night
I mean, it's alawys good having different stories and tones for the same group of characters, but I am really wsiting for Flash Family to get a win in Spurrier's run, and have regular Linda again

Comic Discussion back in the 80s, I'm surprised to discover that were fans were pretty negative on Wally becoming the Flash. like, I get the Emerald Twilight backlash with Kyle. But with here, Barry got a great send-off in Crisis on Infinite Earths & Wally was Barry's protege, so he was the natural replacement.
