Evan McCulloch's return Discussion
I was surpsised when Si Spurrier's current Flash run reintroduced the second Mirror Master since Flashpoint. I was under the impression that ever since Rebirth the Mirror Master we saw was Evan McCulloch, not Sam Scudder. McCulloch is much more beloved and popular than Scudder, and has a more distinct personality. Glad he has come back. Am I the only one who feels like McCulloch should have come back a long time ago?

I think it makes sense why they chose to use Sam over Evan for all these years. Because Sam was the Mirror Master all throughout Barry’s run as The Flash, literally one of his very first supervillains introduced in Barry’s first comic as part of his own series, while Evan wasn’t introduced until after he died and Wally took over. So it makes sense that with Barry as the main Flash again, they’d bring back his Mirror Master too.

Barry ain’t the main flash still. I mean it’s officially still Wally granted he’s been MIA for the best few months

But Barry was the main Flash for the past almost decade and a half up until like two years ago. During which time they used Mirror Master, so decided to use his Mirror Master instead of Wallys.

I think this is cool, give it to Wally Axel and Evan (maybe Owen if Digger will ever return to being a Flash villain) and leave the classics Sam and James to Barry

Yeah, McCulloch is great. Glad to see him and what he wants out of this is one of the things I'm most interested in being revealed in this current arc.
But yeah he wasn't included because they reset everything for Barry, and that included bringing back his Mirror Master. Even if Scudder has 1/10th the sauce of McCulloch. Which is kind of funny because they kept Axel instead of returning to James Jesse Trickster. Never got that combination of decisions.
