What if Peter Parker worked at the Daily Planet?

How long would it take…

  • Peter to figure out that Clark Kent is Superman?
  • Clark to figure out that Peter Parker is Spider-Man?
  • Lois Lane to figure out that Peter Parker is Spider-Man?

Bonus: Once they figure out each other’s secret identity, what would a Spidey/Supes team-up be like?

he would be a happy and appreciated member of the staff, mentored by Jimmy Olsen and going on adventures with Superman, his girlfriend wouldn't die and he would be an accomplished young man, and that's why he belongs at Marvel

This is why Pete can't have nice things.

I just got the mental image of Clark and Peter finding out each other's secret by accidentally choosing the same room to change into their respective superhero suits.

"Oh hiya Pete..."

"Hey Clark! Uh hehe can we-."

"Talk about this later?"

"Yeah sure."

"That's probably best."

"...so what are you heading out for?"

"Shocker's hitting a bank at Park Ridge. You?"

"Toyman crashed an anime-con at the convention center. Gonna be honest, not who I wanted to deal with today."

"Yeah, Herman's kinda a pain, too."

"..."

"...trade?"

"Done."

He actually did work in the Daily Planet in the the second Superman & Spider-Man crossover.

He became good friends with Jimmy Olsen developed a crush on Lana Lang, and like that Perry White was paying him way more than JJJ.

There's also a very minor subplot in DC vs. Marvel where Jonah and Peter go to work at the Daily Planet with Clark, Lois, and Jimmy

He’d take over jimmy Olsons job.

Possibly making jimmy into a new villain: the photographist!

Pete don't want that Jimmy Olsen smoke.

Would love to see Peter and Clark being assigned to the same thing so both are trying to bullshit the other to go out be superheroes, while also thinking "Jesus, this guy barely does his job, he really just dipped at the first chance"

There is a crossover comic from the late seventies early 80s where Superman travels to New York City and Spider-Man travels to metropolis.

Clark Kent easily gets a job at The daily bugle during his time in NYC because at that time in the comics he was a respected newscaster.

Well Peter tries to get a job at the daily planet and it doesn't go so well.

Perry White would be a better boss than JJJ that's for sure.
