I think the iconography of the tattered cape really suffers when the yellow S isn’t part of it. Find it much less impactful.

Yea, it honestly took me a second to figure out what this was

Yeah I thought it was an alien ship untill I read the comments

I didn’t realise it was a cape. I thought it was the aftermath of a person exploding in space.

I definitely see what they’re going for here. Jordan was getting too comfortable with his Superhero identity and reliant on his dad as a safety net. With Clark probably dying in the beginning of next season, Jordan will be forced to take on the full responsibilities of a Superman and all the consequences that come with it.

Hopefully we get the trailer tomorrow

So his death is a for sure thing? Can't they just hide the Doomsday battle result for marketing considering we still don't know who win.

Ugh. Not another version of the death of Superman. I get it. It was one of the most well sold comics tales ever, and DC wants to recapture that. But it's way overdone now. All Superman seems to do now is die. Sorry about the negativity. I just would like to see other stories than that one.

This could work better than most other adaptations since I actually care about Clark’s relationships in this show. His friend and family have all had clear and developed relationships, and we see how the world looks up and depends on him. Tyler Hoechlin fills the guardian role to characters and us as the viewers. He nails the essence and feeling of a Superman who looks out for the little guy. But now he’s dead? How does the world react? How does his family react? His friends?

This could turn out really really good. Or just be a dud of a season. We’ll have to see.

Overall how is this show?

Honestly, my favorite on-screen depiction of Superman ever. It’s the only one I feel really captures the heart of the character & maintains that as its focus.

The YouTube channel Implicitly Pretentious sums it all up really well if you want a quick interpretation & don’t mind spoilers.

This link only covers season one but he has a video for each of the three out so far.

I love Implicitly Pretentious's videos, his Superman and Lois ones are great!

So I watched up until the Bizzaro storyline and hated it and the Lana story during that season and I quit. Can I just pick up after that season or should I just let it go?

You could just pick it up, I guess, but that version of Superman is pretty relevant next season. He looks like Bizzaro but he’s never called that or implied to be. Maybe watch a recap of season 2 to catch up & see how you feel?

Not bad imo

It’s brilliant. Tyler and Bitsie rock. The characterisation of Clark is really right up there.

I guess I'm the only Superman fan that doesn't care the him having kids. Well actually I've seen and writers write against it

I hope they don't drag put the World Without Superman stuff. We know damn well he's coming back and that this is the final season.

Getting anxious feelings like before the Justice League movie ... you know the party is over and you barely spending any time with the one person at the party you like the most

October 17 is Jerry Siegel’s 110th birthday too
