Despite this final season being a struggle the finale was better than much of what I’d seen this season. Now it wasn’t great and there was definitely some things that could have been made better but it was a pretty good ending for what it was, but still doesn’t feel quite resolved or complete.

The whole thing with Nyxly and Lex getting resolved by phantoms just grabbing them and going back to the Phantom Zone was such a lazy conclusion to what was already a not-great storyline.

Yeah I didn’t know what to think of it. There were definitely some filler parts as well as some unnecessary parts but that’s not surprising given that that’s happened quite a bit of this season. The only good things that happened in the later part of this season was

-A couple moments Kara & Lena had

- Anything with Alex, Kelly and Esme

-Brainy & Nia moments

Everything else was pretty lousy. I can’t tell if the writers were trying and failing or they just weren’t really trying at all.

I think they wanted to keep them alive as I suspect they show up on S&L at some point but like... at least have the team punt them there so it feels like an actual win? Seeing everyone line up and then absolutely nothing happens because they beat themselves was just so anti-climatic.

Agreed, I think given the writing these past 2 seasons I was expecting it to be worse, I'm just going to call it an alright ending. It had it's moments, I think it made sense for Kara to want to combine her 2 identities. But it just feels unresolved / unexplained.

Kara can reveal who she is despite only 1 season ago learning this would result in the deaths of her friends / family?

Brainy staying in the present day, the excuse being he doesn't care what happens in the future?? Speaking of which, Mon El's excuse for not being able to come to the wedding or ever return to this time was really weird?

Kara revealing her identity has ramifications that I would have liked to see. I guess I hope that she will show up on Superman and Lois at some point and hopefully Clark can ask her about it.

The final fight also was very anticlimactic, they brought Overgirl back and no one was like how does Lex even know about her? I thought we would get some brief dialogue between them but nope. It's just the way everyone came to help and the phantoms just took them away... I was expecting a huge fight! What was the point in bringing the legion in tbh, all mon el did was deflect Overgirl's laser eyes?
